I can't tell you how many hours i put into this game back in '98 lol. I played it so much that i could be watching a movie off to the side while looking at the game every few moments and crushed it, such good times. The soundtrack won this game for me mostly, because i was and still am a Rob Zombie fanatic!

Twisted Metal 3 needs to be revitalized. I remember playing 3 & 4 back to back. 3 had better character background & choices. 4 had the flashier gameplay. Honestly, you could go back & forth on the maps but man, good times.

This was the first TM game I played, got it with my ps1 when I was 8 for Christmas with zero memory cards so I had to work hard as hell to beat it but could never do it. I played with spectra and would get to the last level but didn't know you had to destroy what was respawning everybody and didn't know anything about cheat codes or the level codes... good times

The shitty thing is you have to get the Health Item before the enemys do and they automaticly know when they appear. THis is more important than actual combat in the game which is bullcrap

On hanger 18 you could destroy a blue wall and get a little alien ship figure, then you can into the portal in the ship and fire it, if nobody is in the same place as you, everbody would be electrocuted :)

@@carwhiz90 It's mostly the physics in the game, which is basically messed up, as smaller vehicles can tip over larger vehicles, and you can basically end up turning yourself over most of the time if you make tight turns.

Even now I'm not nostalgic for Twisted Metal III. I thought it was honestly a beginning of a downhill swoop that'd plague the series. Because that Sony lost Single Trac, who previously made Twisted Metal 1 and 2, they literally remade everything from the ground up in Twisted Metal 3 with 989 Studios, their in-house brand. And the results were noticeably neutered between the two games. Like, being able to be flipped upside down and hanging off of cliffs in TM3. The music track here, while good, is sloppy because it doesn't contain any original themes as the previous games did. The characters, some returning got bastardized (Grimm is a vampire ghoul now? Liked him as Biker Reaper. Sweet Tooth is a coked out ice cream guy? He was a legitimate psycho in the past games.) The weapons were imbalanced. Even the voice acting were skipping lines in the info biographies! Ugh.

Probably this 3rd edition has the most fluid gameplay of the series. Coop mode is superb. This game has murder, flames, gas and destruction, fun for the whole traditional family
