I love what you're doing! Just as a small suggestion, it'll be really helpful to have you slow down and explain some of these concepts in your own words or with personal anecdotes
@methodicallymaya2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And I will definitely try to add in more personal anecdotes wherever possible. I agree that this helps with learning/understanding

Isn’t it Wilhelm Wundt that is known as father of psychology ?
@methodicallymaya2 жыл бұрын
Hey! I think he is also considered the father of psychology. I was mainly going off my notes from first year university, maybe something changed! Thanks for the heads up

Hi! I have a question regarding Descartes' version of dualism and how it helped in making science of psychology. Is it correct to say that Descartes' version of dualism differed from prior dualism because of his emphasis on the body being able to do things such as produce body heat and move without the soul requiring it to do so? Also, I am a bit confused on how he helped in paving the way for a science of psychology. Was it due to the fact that his focus on the body and its functions being unrelated to the soul's control allowed for more things to be scientifically studied (since things that would be product by the soul couldn’t be scientifically studied because it operates on its own free will)? Thank you so much!
