When I found out I was an INFJ I finally understood why I always felt a little different and why no one in my family ever understood me.Also, I was always labelled as weird since they are all extroverted. The conflict thing kills me. I literally suffer for days and I still find myself mulling over arguments years later. I like who I am but its not easy being an INFJ surrounded by people who think you are "too sensitive" so those me-time breaks are so important. I might share this video with people in the future who want to understand me better.

I can relate to you, I usually feel that my family is a group of individuals that understand one another better. While, for me I wonder why I'm so different (alien). I love helping them no matter what, but feel that when I ask for understanding they don't and think wrongly. I am rooting for all INFJ's out there to don't feel lonely. I always think I am a unique jewel around my family, even if they misunderstand me.

No matter how many times I've tested for this, it always results INFJ. Recently, my current boyfriend also had INFJ results after multiple trials. It's both a blessing and a curse to be INFJs. We're both very sensitive about each other's feelings and often have the same principles and outlooks in life. We also have a very keen sense of deciphering people's personalities. It surprises us how we always have common opinions about people. We work harmoniously around the house. No need to discuss roles, the division of work just flows. The downside is that we also both have the same flaws. We much prefer to be with our own company when in a big group of people, so people would think we're weird or family members would think us uncooperative. We either procrastinate a lot on our tasks or we zone out whenever we're so focused on doing something that we can't notice when the other is calling to us. We've both reflected on our good and bad traits and remind each other when we're leaning towards our bad habits again. My favorite part of the day is when both of us share this common silence in a room and we both get to do our hobbies in peace. Occasionally looking up to the other to check if we're doing okay.

As an INFJ, I must say that we feel like we don't have the right to speak about our problems, and even if We do when the other person doesn't give us the response we are searching for, they make us feel like we are overreacting. I'm an INFJ. I indeed am a great listener. I keep my secrets to myself and I never open up. Everything in this video is true. It's hard to make others understand us. My favourite point is about how everyone gets drawn to us. This is the most accurate thing ever. All we do is just stare at them or maybe nothing and they already start liking us. One of the popular girls made me sit next to her because she wanted me to befriend her. Many people tell that I'm a bit mysterious as I always listen to others and barely share anything about myself. I have the rarest type of INFJ and I'm proud of that.

It's difficult, yeah. I myself only open up to those who I trust. But if I open up, I don't stop. Sometimes I have problems to find the right words, but I don't stop and go on until I have the feeling that Iexplained it like I mean it. But lately I open up less than a few montgs ago. Maybe it's bcs I don't need totalk about so much bcs I'm happier now, idk. But sometimes I have the feeling I annoy this specific person when tell them my worries again and again. So sometimes I find my own way of dealing with my thoughts (I get better I think), smetimes I go for it...but hesitantly and sometimes I go all in (when I really need help). I open up to people who I trust deeply but that's really just a few. Atm there's only one person I could tell absolutely anything and sthey wouldn't judge me. So...yeah...and I don't want to annoy them so I sometimes try to hold back :/ I also tried to write down my thoughts and emotions. It's not really a thing for me, but there are a few rimes where it helps me so much. So I type a message to myself and most of the time that's the only thing I need bcs my worries cleared up while reading it after typing 👍 there's too much going on inside my INFJ brain 😮‍💨

As an INFJ, this is so accurate. I gain energy and positivity from comforting or helping others! I am super kept to myself but around others, I put my troubles away so I can help another person avoid troubles I may have faced. Sometimes it's hard for others to get me but I will know what they mean if they try to explain something personal to me. INFJ'S, UNITE! edit: Please note that this is definitely not accurate for all and I am just stating from my personal opinion and experience! Thank you.

I fall under the INFJ-A, but I urge you all to not let these tests define you. Many of us all want to answer our questions with simple labels and take comfort in them, but just because INFJ might be rare don’t let it make you feel “special”. Of course everyone is unique in their own way, but as INFJs we shouldn’t take comfort in these labels because they’ll make you conform to your current life rather than aim higher, and you’ll hate yourself in the future for this. Don’t let a label comfort you. Find comfort within yourself.

As another INFJ this was insanely accurate. My friends often confide in me and have given me the constant nickname of "therapist". I do my best helping others, I immerse myself in it. I have a large social circle despite being extremely introverted, and I try to retain a connection with every one of my friends despite the large amount. Even so, I find it extremely difficult to open up. So much so that I fool myself into thinking that I do sometimes.
@zagorith14

INFJ's are interesting. Some are considered to be completely introverted and some to be extroverted. In reality, we're ambiverts. Social "chameleons" in a way. We can present as extroverted in groups and that's why being in a large social circle is pretty doable for INFJ's despite preferring smaller groups and more intimate settings with closer friends. So long as we can separate ourselves from continuous socialization. I agree with the confiding and opening things though. As much as I love helping others and them confiding in me, I feel an extreme discomfort talking about my own issues to others. Only opening up to those very, very close to me or those I can sense have similar traumas that make them kindred.

This video spoke to me so much. It’s hard being so introverted yet wanting to go out there and help so many people. It’s weird because it’s almost conflicting sometimes. And the investing into hobbies and goals is so accurate too. I get burnt out sometimes if I don’t make a conscious effort to watch myself.

Being an INFJ I can confirm, fact I can see and feel emotions WITHOUT even having to see them. I can hear it in their voice or by the amount they talk. also being an INFJ you would have to be careful of being manipulated by people. However once you're starting to recognise manipulative behaviours you're going to get used/hurt allot less as you prevent yourself from being. However the only downside is... I personally tend to ignore myself and still get myself manipulated/used

LITERALLY EVERY WORD ON THIS COMMENT IS SOOOO TRUEEEE Wthh I literally almost screamed. I was in another room where one of my family and this person that we know were talking and I could hear them bc it was very quite. After they finished talking I was talking with my family and they were like idk what happened but I was straight away like she was obviously lying (and I was right bc the person turns out was completely lying). Up until that point I thought I could only know these things when I’m physically observing their expressions and body language but it was like I could FEEL their thoughts / intentions through the way they speak. I guess we observe in our hearing just as much as through sight.

As an INFJ, I felt really inspired and identified. Yes, we somehow find easy to help others, and not just that, it is part of our identity, a part of our happiness, but we are very misunderstood by others. We are a very rare personality and also introverted, this are some of the reasons why we feel like we don’t belong, but that doesn’t mean we are a piece of the puzzle that doesn’t fit, is just that we are different, and that’s okay!! Once you get to know us, you’ll love us! Our personality is like a beautiful rainbow with an secret inner, noisy storm. I loved this video, it made me understand myself a bit more (self-knowledge), each day you learn something new. 😁

Please don't take the 16personalities test, it's not an accurate Myers Briggs test and it's based off of the big five test. As a INFJ, I personally have a love/hate relationship with my personality, and it being rare, to be honest, only makes me feel frustrated and more lonely, which is weird because I'm person that people go to when they feel lonely or misunderstood, but at the same time, I don't want to give up on my personality either, which creates this feeling me being dissatisfied with myself, but very aware that it is just an emotion that will pass... Eventually at least that is what I hear from older INFJs.

I don't mean to make you feel bad, but it's more like you learn to get along with it. Eventually you learn to cope (and even enjoy) your lone time and your unique self. It's not like you can find people who easily gets you and INFJ tends to repel other INFJ; not because you don't like each other, more like you find where you are needed. So very true. I also resonated with everything and it kind of hurts in a way. This video...it's looking into a mirror. I can relate that I used to think and believe there was something wrong with me...for most of my life in fact. That sucks. To go about life believing you're broken and you need to be fixed somehow. But as a personality type this rare, you come to believe that you're the only one like you - and for that reason it's just you and the world. Now I understand it's not just me and while I am different, I'm not just broken. Sometimes I still feel broken though since people don't understand the real me. I read about these comments where two INFJs found one another and have a happy relationship and I am happy for them. I am approaching my mid 30s and wondering if I should find a way to be happy on my own but I am uncertain what that looks like. I'm talking about true happiness, not just status quo. Should I just be content with a good job? It seems like such a shallow pool I'd be standing in, telling myself this is enough. But would I believe that? Maybe given enough time. Many say they would not trade their INFJ status; good for them. I am not so sure if I had the chance. I can't seem to reconcile if the trade offs would be worth it.

@@taurus7119 Finding INFJs on the internet is easy because we're drawn to this central 'location' discussing the very nature of who we are. In the real world, on average and with all things in perfect balance, only 2 people in a room of 100 will be an INFJ. So yeah, we'll run into INFJs in the wild but only rarely and we likely will never know. So the odds of ending up in a relationship with another INFJ just seems like ridiculous odds to me lol. Imagine two INFJs finding one another in a room full of 100 people... > _Every personality has different struggles. So why change?_ That is a valid point. Trade the problems I know well for some problems I don't know well. I do try very hard to appreciate what I have and remind myself. Here's to hoping in the next 6 months I can find even more ways to appreciate where I'm at in life. Thank you and I wish you luck on your journey as well. ☮

@@taurus7119 unfortunately, I'd have to disagree I would trade my INFJ personality type for ENTJ personality type. Reasons : ENTJ is a natural leader, bold, imaginative, strategic, analytical, logical, considered to be one of the most successful personality types, so in other words, if I got a choice I'd definitely choose ENTJ Sure ENTJ isn't perfect, they struggle with emotions, can be impulsive / pushy sometimes, argumentative / stubborn, but that's a small price to pay given all the benefits of being an ENTJ Well I know I am who I am and can't change and all that. However, by the theory of behaviorism, we inherit traits from our environment, meaning I could potentially inherit some ENTJ traits by being around ENTJs in real life.

I want a friend that i know A LOT about and agrees with my perspective and such. I struggle with my friends now because even though I see them everyday I don’t know a lot about them and they are so different from me. It’s nice to know that I got a special personality, though! But it also adds to the pressure to put it to use. When I heard that the biggest fear to an INFJ was not putting in their full potential I couldn’t agree more. I’m scared I won’t be able to make the lasting impact I want to in this world, of course I have a lot of time since I’m a young teenager, but I’m scared I won’t be able to do what I feel I am in this world to do. To be honest, since I was little I felt like nobody could understand me, not even my closest friends But the problem was I didn’t want to be seen as a pathetic loser that was constantly sad, I always pretended to be happy and quirky so that people could see me differently. My family doubted me for being to introverted and “too sensitive” and that made me sad knowing I was different. Nowadays I always hear people saying things like “being different is good, it makes you unique!” Whenever i hear phrases like that I feel sad knowing I’d rather be the same as everyone else. I remember once I didn’t want to go up and do prayer in front of the class but this boy, Ben, called me a shy, introverted loser and it mad made me feel really, really sad. I hope some of you guys can relate to me :)

Me too always feel like it's no point to tell my stuffs to close friends even tho they are close friends but even close friends and family members won't be able to understand. It's true that on some days this can be very sad but on the other day you just need to let yourself embrace and have a different focus point. I once thought I found one people that can understand me fully and got myself too deep into it and when things went ugly the hurt for INFJs are double. So instead of focusing on others' point of view (which is what we spent too much caring) we should focus on making ourselves contented!

As an ifnj, we seek significant relationships, including family members. When we found out people around us are not cherishing this relationship as we do, we would rather feel disappointed (which in the eyes of them we are being sensitive). Clearly there is no right or wrong about this. It is your own behaviours. Just always remember to remind yourself you needed to be loved too, which is to care more about your own feeling.

As an INFJ-T, who's also a highly sensitive person, I recognise myself in all of these traits. And I can confirm that life can be very challenging at times. I often feel overwhelmed by emotions - not only mine, but the emotions of others as well - and I find it very hard to find an "anchor" to keep me grounded. I have GAD and social anxiety due to the fact that I always try to please other people. And obviously when I fail, I feel miserable and I go into panic mode. It can be very, very, veeery consuming but it's also beautiful. I don't think I would change the way I can look at the world around me, because - in spite of all the struggle - I like being so much in contact with emotions. I feel that it makes me a much more complex person and this is one of my best qualities in my opinion.

I find some type of creative outlet is what helps me really get my feelings out as I have a hard time opening up to people. On my channel I have recently started, I film and edit videos of nature in the Greater Toronto Area. I have found this to be very therapeutic for me and has helped immensely in finding calm and peace. I love being out in nature as it’s a very profound and spiritual time for me. It helps me reflect on things and rejuvenate. I try to somehow communicate this through my videos. And I encourage all INFJs to spend as much time as you can out in nature. Number 4 rings so true for me (I’m INFJ, so they all really work for me) but this one especially. On tests, I tend to go with my immediate gut feeling for an answer, and unless I’m truly not sure, I never go back and check. No one around me understands this method, but so far it has worked much better for me than going back and reading over the questions and making myself overthink. If I overthink about it, I tend to pick the wrong answer. My mom was absolutely baffled when I told her this is how I take tests and that I score well on them. Often I am asked questions such as “what if you read a question wrong?” And I answer with “if I go back and read over questions, I tend to miss more answers overthinking than I would have missed by reading something wrong.” It’s something that I’ve found to help me and it’s crazy now realizing that is it something to do with my personality!

A sum-up of an INFJ: As contradictory as it might sound, we INFJs aren't as rare as people make us out to be. The only reason we have the stereotype of 'being rare' is because we relate to so many people, that when we do find out that relating to people, understanding and permitting them to voice their own opinions and needs without judgement, whether they choose to do so, or do so because we have literally known their intentions since the second encounter we had with them, is actually part of our personality type and isn't just an emotional and mental affliction where we just... understand everyone and can't hate any person because we see their point of view, the idea of us understanding everyone is so wild and radical, described as a personality and identity, that the contrast to how little people understand our own views and opinions, are staggering. The thing with INFJs, folks, is that, we give you the space to present your case and will judge you according to the fruit you bare, and not by your circumstances. We listen you out; we give you the full benefit of the doubt. And, we expect you to do the same. When we come without judgment and with understanding, we expect the same! But the thing about this, if you judge us before knowing our intentions, thoughts or motives, you are judging the wrong person. If you do not allow us to share with you our true intentions and motivations, you will be fooled for as long as you do not try to understand us, too. If an INFJ is judged and not given the chance to explain themselves, you will go to your grave knowing you have fooled yourself. Because we don’t think basic. We don’t live in the moment. We analyze and read your next actions based on every single thing you have communicated, whether verbal or non-verbal. You are not a secret to us, and you don't fool us. And, if you do not give us the chance to explain ourselves, you will go to your grave knowing that you were outwitted by a psychology nerd with a PHD in conspiracy theories. But like, with feelings. And you can go to your grave knowing we probably forgave you at some point.
