Jeff Minter's "Psychedelia" is an unique light orchestra with a bunch of features and choices for it's time.
I try to get some feeling for it on the C64.
Some short description to watch the video:
1) After run the program I let the demo play to show some stuff. It starts at 0:09 minute
2) Then I press the keys F1, F3 F5 and F7 to show some "figures". Begins at 2:21 minute.
I just push the joystick button without moving the stick to show the result.
3) You can watch lots more presets, after pressing the space key. Go on at 2:57 min.
Now I don't only push fire, I use to move the stick around for some small action.
4) Finally I do some freestyle by selecting some presets. Watch at 9:42 minute. Using the joystick with fire and push the stick to all directions and pressing the "L" key sometimes to change the line mode (on or off)
There're much more functions, for example the pulse speed or changing the symmetry axis, but I'm a bloody beginner and have to spend more time.
By the way: The last track you listen in the video is done by myself. I hope you enjoy the video and if you like to comment - feel free.
