Why not ask chatgpt for the python analysis code, save it and run it on your local machine...then you can process all data, and since a dataframe is the primary source of calculation...the analysis could really be performed on any machine...no GPU necessary 🙏

@CodyRallMD Hi Cody! I first started watching your videos in 2019-2020. A lot of things have changed in four years, haven't they? Neither I nor, I'm guessing, you saw how fast artificial intelligence would advance, and that looks to change the game a lot faster than we thought when I first encountered your videos in 2019-2020. I have severe OCD, and sometime later this year, I am going to get focused ultrasound on a tiny, tangled mass of circuitry in my brain using 100 beam of 5 mm ultrasound that converge on the problem area in my brain and break it up. The area will be located by performing an fMRI at the same time. If it works, patients report a 40% reduction in symptoms, often seeing change within a few days. The reduction takes place over a whole year as your whole brain rewires around the rewired circuits. The first patient _ever_ in the world to get this procedure was at a Toronto hospital in 2017. I live two hours away, so I'm very fortunate. sunnybrook.ca/media/item.asp?c=1&i=2114&f=FUS-is-safe-for-OCD-and-depression www.fusfoundation.org/posts/meet-jeffrey-the-first-patient-in-a-clinical-trial-for-ocd/ Now think of what will happen when _this_ technology is available as a wearable. Here's Shinzen Young using focused ultrasound to modulate his basal ganglia, with amazing results: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaHYnJ1jadiMiZI Also, here's a presentation by a Zen teacher on the Buddhist way to approach the possibilities and dangers opened up by AI: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i16wYaWdeqtqfJI&lc=UgzPLLY3KjT1ZIe3Xnl4AaABAg.A5M4CVxD0GZA5TLujqEHld

As an Applied Psychophysiologist and Naturopath, I am concerned that more and more devices like these will be flooding the market to pray on people's fears and desperation in maintaining a healthy brain for as long as possible. The ethical conversation surrounding brain hacking, stimulation devices and neurofeedback is the importance of getting an EEG to know what's going on in your brain prior to using any device. I had a client that did not know he had epileptic seizure spikes. A device like this would have triggered a seizure. The biodiversity of a person includes their brain. We should all be cautious before 'trying' devices.

Mindplace Kasons and other devices paired with audio tracks like from the “Neuroprogammer” software series has been doing this for decades. My first device I got 2004. This tech did work - but it usually takes longer sessions for the brainwave entrainment to work. What is nice about the light AND the sound is that it getting double the stimulation for better induction.

"And since I'm not ready to cut open my brain to see if there's any plaques in there...", totally cracked me up! To be sure, when you look at what's available in terms of Rx for all cognitive impairments (elder or otherwyse), any device, approach or practice is well received. I've worked in that population and I can tell you that I REALLY don't want to suffer from neurological deficit...anything that might help, I'm in, but damn...500$!? (100$ off with the link, but still expensive for flashing lights (that's been around for, quite a while actually).

I like wearables like this one but I prefer the mountable devices. They give so much more 3D depth to all my sessions, and devices like the LiBa magnify flashes warm and cold lights as well. That coupled with the fact that I can pause the frequencies I enjoy, is making the LiBa my go to device for my light sessions

You’ll probably delete this but here goes. Appreciate the video and information. My comments on NeuroVIZR - how do they handle the digital signal processing and the EMG artifact that comes from frontal lobe sensors? Again, interpretation of results is limited by the accuracy of the initial dataset. Appreciate your cautionary comments about potential reactions to strobing light effects, especially for people with epilepsy, strong reactions to strobing light and appreciate that they do include a solid contraindication warning: “Contra indications: Do not use if diagnosed with epilepsy or any other seizure disorder. Do not use if suffering from acute photo- sensitivity. Do not use if suffering from any acute eye disorder. Do not use if suffering from acute vertigo. Do not use if suffering from acute psychosis Good stuff. Food for thought BUT always concerned about claims made with these non-regulated, non-medical devices. Cheers! 🙏

NeuroVIZR is much less expensive than Roxiva ($500 NeuroVIZR vs $5,000 Roxiva) and very close to the same experience in terms of the "light show" for an individual user. I really enjoyed the sound tracks as well. Also the app on NeuroVIZR is much easier to navigate than the analog controls on the back of the Roxiva lamp. Also you had to mount the heavy Roxiva lamp on a tripod (not included) whereas the NeuroVIZR comes with a head strap that is easy to use.

@@mario-pv8ss I've seen these types of comments before, I used to think the same as an engineer. But it's hard to start from scratch and build a company, and millions are spent for most of them just to launch any product. some of them are cheap because they sell millions of them, some cost more because they sell on a good year hundreds of products. but you still need the staff, the building etc. this is why non-mainstream stuff is expensive, and why its fun and interesting.

Is there an app that has the functionality of NeuroVIZR without the hardware? It seems to me that someone could make an app that does the same thing. Couldn’t I prop my phone/iPad on a shelf, sit close to it, close my eyes, and run the sound to the headphones I own and the light show through the device I own. My question, Is there a reason I’m missing why it couldn’t be done much more simply like this? Has someone done it? I do appreciate your videos Cody Rall.

What device do you send the Muse Headband data to? Do you run the Muse on your phone or tablet or PC? I am waiting for my Muse to arrive, my plan is to use an LG 60V smart phone with a 1TB data card to run the device. The data will sync with my Google One account on the cloud. I link my Muse with my iPad that is running the MindMonitor software on it. Then the Mind Monitor app uploads it to my dropbox. I then can download that file to my MacBook Pro computer and do the analysis with ChatGPT. This is what this one does. Using own headphones with the sound and led panel you have vizual and auditory simulation. It does not say explicitly they use the same frequency by I suspect (expecting) they sync them for best effect. This might mean same or different frequency to complement (constructive or distructive) depending on desired effect. App has lots of programs for focus, relax, energy, sleep etc. I am pleased with my purchase so a bit biased.
