really great 2 way conversation and fascinating work. microdosing was the single best thing to ever have happened to me. I am forever grateful and pray for the accelerated research of these psychedelics for mental health.

Thank you both. A great conversation! IMHO, the resurgence of psychedelic research is, without a doubt, one of the most promising trends in medicine and psychology in general. We were robbed of the benefits of psychedelics years ago and hopefully that will not be repeated.

Psychedelic’s definitely have potential to deal with mental health symptoms like anxiety and depression, I would like to try them again but it’s just so hard to source here

I've been microdosing on the batch of mushrooms I got from one guy online for the last few months for depression and the results have been immeasurable. The world has beauty again whereas before it was grey and painful.

One of the uses of psychedelics is administering psilocybin to cancer patients, it allowed them to confron their mortality, remove fear and anxiety and to die with peace and equanimity. What a gift this is.

Psilocybin saved my life. I was addicted to heroin for 15 years and after Psilocybin treatment I will be 3 years clean in September. I have zero cravings. This is something that truly needs to be more broadly used in addiction treatment.

One of the most interesting clinical facts about Hallucinogenics particularly LSD is that most of the effect happening in the body happens in the liver, not the brain. Very few people ever talk about that. I’m curious why mescaline and or peyote or not being tested for microdose therapy. I can say from experience that after using Hallucinogenics for a period of time and an unspecified number of times you can actually cause depression. I can also say from experience that after using Hallucinogenics for a period of time it is possible to pick up on the psychic energy of other people who are under the influence of a hallucinogenic and begin to trip without ever taking anything yourself. I’ve experienced that several times.

Much of this is sanitised, overblowing the risks, parroting the “Control” aspects. Had the interviewer asked the good Doctor if she has direct experience with say psilocybin, I expect the answer would be in the negative.

Geekay 101 I was thinking 🤔 the exact same thing. I feel she means well but she should speak from direct experience. Meaning actually take a microdose herself or a macrodose.

Without a good control you know nothing. There's a difference between experience from the inside and external, shareable, knowledge. Humanity needs both forms of knowledge in order to prosper

I can understand all the safety concerns but at some point it begins to become ridiculous. Alcohol is way more dangerous than mushrooms. Look at all the violent crimes that happen because of alcohol. Look at all of the hit and run deaths that occur from alcohol usage. This is why I say the thought of psychedelics needing to be controlled is ridiculous. The public does not need to have this controlled. The public needs to be educated. It's that simple. Mushrooms are the least toxic of all ingestible substances. Also it's the least to cause harm to self or others. The bulk of people who take psychedelics have healthy happy thoughts. With alcohol it's the complete opposite. It destroys lives and damages bodies. I can respect this Dr.'s position. I truly feel she means well. But when is the country going to learn that it's wrong to attempt to incarcerate people's mind and spiritual practice. The Creator gave us these fungi for healing and health. Wake up America

LSD was associated with the hippy movement, which was seen by the powers that be as subversive and politically dangerous. Timothy Leary's outspoken advocacy for LSD and his antipathy to mainstream political and social culture ("Tune in, turn on, drop out") may have been partly responsible for this.

It’s very difficult, if not impossible to take any clinical professional, speaking on the subject of Hallucinogenics seriously when they talk about people, jumping out of windows. That is such nonsense, and it’s really inappropriate for any professional even to make reference of someone jumping out of a window while on Hallucinogenics because it’s not even a statistic. She put it in the context of something that happened back in the 60s well if it happened in the 60s, why hasn’t it happened to thousands of other people since then? The fact is, that never even happened in the 60s. That is such an urban legend and it’s sad. If not pathetic to hear a clinical professional not only make reference to that but to try to make a point that that is something that is some kind of risk. The other thing that she makes reference to that is pretty much nonsense is that there’s a risk of negative affects of any kind when you stop a Microdosing. Why would there be any negative affect has there ever been any negative affect reported by anybody ever? When it comes to this subject of Microdosing, and using Hallucinogenics medicinally, it’s extremely important to weed out the nonsense, urban legends, and other false narratives that have played this subject for more than a half a century. It’s really time for that to stop.

Besides how do you know he jumped he could have slipped and fell or even pretend to jump to be funny and actually lose grip and fall making it look like he purposely jumped you've clearly never tried psilocybin otherwise you would know how ridiculous it is of you to say this.

@@pebbleinyoshoe532facts but still no need to control. Assholes are running killing people daily on the highways and killing people in general from alcohol consumptions. Families stay on the news demanding people stop driving drunk. They want make alcohol illegal. I call a lot of these scientists and lawmakers on their bs. Their biased because they consume alcohol. Mushrooms are no where near dangerous as that shit. It literally destroys lives and health.
