Thank you so much for playing this. I believe there are many who never heard this type of music from George, How magnificent is he? This was from the songs from the last century album. Wait till you get to his last tour/ album SYMPHNICA, performed at The Garnier Opera house in Paris. He's the first modern western ever to play there. And they loved it. Surprise, Surprise! This was a benefit concert to raise money for AIDS research! Symphonica is the orchestra, who continued the tour with him. These were typically ballets, orchestra & those alike(high brow)! This was a dream of his. So anyway, A suggestion would be a song he sang bach from the concert of hope, but know, well check it out. You said you were a visual kind of person,(me as well) so go to BROTHER CAN YOU SPARE A DIME. Performed at Pavarotti & friends. Another charity concert, I think in Italy. Well, wait till you see this one. It gives me goosebumps every time. I promise you won't be disappointed! I don't know how more to describe it. You'll just have to see It. THANKS SO MUCH!

This album was INCREDIBLE!!!! Music from him on this one that you'd never think he'd sing. Big swing on the band stand and having his voice whisk you across the dance hall floor. I LOVED this song. It's on my Summer Sunday Brunch playlist. Oh....oh, off this album, "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" by Roberta Flack. Talk about float away on a cloud heavenly.

I can't remember where I read this, if it was in one of the books about him, but George said, his mum and father owed a restaurant in London (I believe) and his dad would play songs from Ella, Billie Holiday, Nat King Cole, etc. etc. He said his mum told him he would never appreciate this type of music until he was older. I have this album and it's tremendous. His symphonic album is so good too. LIke I said I don't think there is anything he couldn't sing. I listened to "Faith" today and the one song I forgot about was "hand to mouth". He wrote it in about 1987-88. Some of the words just made me think "I believe in the Gods of America, I believe in the Land of the Free, but no one told me the Gods care about nothing, so with empty hands i pray". I swear he wrote this for the year 2020. His writing skills were just so ahead of our times. He was just taken way too soon.

A fantastic choice! ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜 That is one stunning vocal. Anyone who refused in the past to 'see' the strength of George's talent, even just as a voice, just really wasn't listening. This is overall a much ignored album of his. His superb duet with Mutya Buena (I LOVE her voice) is another one that doesn't get enough attention either. TFS :)

How versatile George was! With that voice and courage he could do it all. I love how you paint pictures; I can see you and your companion watching George in an intimate club. Wouldn’t it be great! Thanks for this.

I love it as a slower song because it conveys the sentiment better - but George can do no wrong. I can imagine me and George or you in a jazz club having a good time lol x
