I think kids are closer to the other side (heaven) than they are here (earth,) bc they havent been here long enough to begin to doubt or reason away their feelings or what they see. Kids lie fairly easy and have a big imagination, it's normal that they imagine these things which they are taught as real while seeing natural phenomenon like a curtain moving or a shape in the darkness which is just our eyes playing tricks on us. This has been shown to be the case 100% of the time and i remember my sleep paralysis demon fairly well but i'm also not stupid so i know it's just an hallucination and not some dumbass demon that just stares like a drugged dumbass.

The first thing I noticed when Kendall went downstairs to the area where she sees the spirits is that there appeared to be a bar and alcohol there. You can’t have a psychic kid living in a home where there’s a bar and alcohol. Ghosts who died while addicted to alcohol will keep tormenting her. Even if the parents hardly ever drink or entertain people down there, my first thought was “ GET RID OF THE BAR and the alcohol! God I hope they do for their daughters sake!
