Most people are unmindful, everyone has unmindful moments some way more than others naturally and practicing mindfulness meditation in moment and sitting as long as you can a day sitting starting 5 mins, recommend Lock Kelly and than Sam Harris. The doubters will NEVER believe a story I know about John. His studio was in the same building as my office and also a parking garage. Long story short,, they were filming the show. He was trying to give a family against a back wall a reading and NONE of the info was correct. Someone on his staff guessed that maybe the info belonged to someone on the OTHER side of the wall. That happened to be the parking garage. Turns out all the info was 100% accurate for an attendant that worked there, whom I personally knew. SO, he wasn't even in the audience, and he got a reading. He wasn't a plant or an actor. He literally was approached by staff of the show. He then validated all the info that John thought was for that family. TRUE story! OK.... snarky, condescending comments now...and GO!

I just saw this episode. It was disappointing that John Edwards turned to some unknowns in the audience rather than address the case at hand about the man convicted of the double murder of his parents. All he told the double homicide relatives that there's something about DNA. Then Dr. Phil used up time with his own reading. The whole show was supposed to be about the mystery of the double homicide, so why wasn't more addressed about that ? Nothing was every answered about the double homicide. Usually when a victim is stabbed as many as 19 times that is personal. A stranger wouldn't do that.

I will say this. I think John asks questions - like most mediums do when reading for large audiences to make sure that another spirit isn’t stepping forward. Bc if the information doesn’t resonate at all with the person he’s speaking with then it’s clear that it is meant for someone else. Also this information he receives has nothing to do with his life. This is all centered around spirit/sitter’s life. So naturally it would go like “I’m getting a younger female with a Sk sounding name. Why would I get that?” Or “Does that resonate?” Like in this example, the people knew the baby had been named Skylar. Spirit would not waste the energy to say “We named the baby Skylar.” - only give a reminder. John and any medium acts as a telephone.

Watch this back and tell me how you feel about what he's doing if he doesn't have a gift and he knows it? You can tell the people he is speaking to want to believe, are emotionally invested and are looking to help / reading meaning in what JE says. Now how do you feel about what you are looking at? Obviously people are invested - otherwise why would they listen or go to him. You would need to ask them if what he does is ‘harmless or manipulative’, I certainly have my opinion on that too. There are a lot of charlatans out there, there’s no question of that. This subject is always a contentious one (even within my own family), but I would in no way waste my precious time watching or listening to someone who’s beliefs and actions are diametrically opposed to mine and am surprised by others that do. I understand where you are coming from in not understanding why people would be watching or investing time in something that they are diametrically opposed to. I can't speak for everyones motivations but for me, it's always about checking my own views and bias. The fact that you believe some operators are fakes and believe others to be real, shows me you are clearly open to critical thinking. That's a good thing. There are far too many people who don't engage in critical thinking and live surrounded by echo chambers that reinforce their news and views to the point where they cannot see another person's point of view. I always try to ask 'what if I'm wrong' and try to see why someone believes something I don't. You acknowledge that there are frauds in this field and I can only assume you think that's a bad thing, as it gives false hope or has some kind of financial cost? Again, you may believe in JE and that might serve you really well. However, others here might want to learn why people believe in JE the way you do to understand another person's perspective, or feel the need to warn people if they have a belief that JE is not authentic. I see a name with a 'sk...' sound.. Scott, Skylar, skiing, school, skate board, sky writing, skeleton, scabby... should I go on. It's vague, it was targeted at the wrong people in the crowd and you need to confirm and find meaning in it. If nothing comes back, he moves onto another thing, again at the wrong people in the crowd. It's called cold reading. It's a SCam... another 'sk' sounding words.
