Wow, man. I never watched the original, but even without knowing anything about it this is just so so so well done. The cinematography, shot composition, sound design, is all so masterful. This episode was also terrifying and incredibly uncomfortable from start to finish, which is exactly what it should feel like, and I love how a lot of this discomfort was created not only through dialogue, but a lot of sound design and visual aspects, too. Like, how silent the room is during McCan and Hartford’s second conversation, before the sound design starts to get really loud in the background. Scary as HELL, man. Super excited to see this continue (especially since I definitely wouldn’t be able to handle something like this if it was with real people 😭).

Like the little name tags and the cute cardigan that Katie is wearing and I actually prefer Teresa’s voice better in this I feel like it suits her character more even though the original was still great this is probably one of the best reboots I’ve seen of an Lps series!
