Video title applies to the Officer Carbine as well though. The weird "rng knockback" the gun recieved a while ago is much more consistent and tolerable with HV ammo for some reason (Have not tested it with poison)

17:40 Pretty sure the other guy's ping has no bearing on your hitmarker delay, as the hitreg is client-sided. Your client sends server data about how you hit them, server performs some black magic with the data, probably confirms it, and sends the hitmarker back to you (or potentially doesn't, but that doesn't happen very commonly these days, at least to me). To them, you can be already dead before even firing on their end, and... that is how trades happen so damn often. *(I tried to post this as a separate comment, but it got shadowbanned by KZbin for reasons unknown, f*ck KZbin, seriously.)

I've been running a similar loadout to this, except with a compact crossbow as my sidearm with half/half normal/choke bolts on a lot of newly bought hunters. In this way you have a midrange option, 2 "oh shit!" close range options, a silent way to kill hives/horses, chokes for your buddies, and the ability to run double traps for the instakill potential without giving up a melee tool or medkit. It's felt good to run a pretty cheap setup that doesn't require any weapon-specific traits to work well.

Hunt has good audio but still has its days, like when me and my partner were sitting on the stairs you snuck up from on Blanchett and not being able to hear the other team open the metal rolling door you came through but could hear the boss from a mile away outside the compound the next match 😊

Lemat was already one of my favorite weapons and the carbine is now there too, without slug the shotgun is still better than base lemat but seeing it in action slugs are absolutely brutal on this, it's like having 3 weapons...

i feel like im a bit of the odd one out with the carbine weapons lol, instead of going for the average desired fmj or high vel pple go for the carbines, i love the poison and fire, and having dualies as side arm for ammo pool and plus fire rate if danger close. i feel like small ammo with fire or poison just lets me put bettter pressure on the enemy if i cant hit my head shot from range, theyll get burned and run off for a bit to stop or get poisoned and hide and during that time i can close the gap to become more deadly

Tbh i know people want self res to stay in the game for solo players, and i used to agree, but... I don't want to babysit bodies against solos all the time too, it's boring... Necromancer in teams makes sense. Because you babysit or burn a body while their team mate/s is alive, but if their team mates are dead, then you don't have to worry about necro res anymore.

If after they are downed, you see a sparkle of white dots float above their body and hear a little chime, that means they have quit. Other than that you can't really tell. Just put some traps down, burn the body and wait lol

Before hunt I used to play a lot of R6S, some tarkov, and a decent amount of warzone. I've tried since I got into hunt and I just can't play them. My ears are so attuned to good audio I feel disgusted and upset when playing them.
