What I like about the Berthier is that the low amount of ammo gives you a couple attempts at a follow up shot, but then forces you to reload (& ideally reposition). It makes you play differently than you would with a Lebel or Mosin.

The one shot rifles are good at this too. I find that the pacing of shoot-reload(while repositioning so you don’t get shot)-peek a new sight line is really conducive to success in hunt.

It also allows you to switch ammo types and negate the need for bullet grubber so you can top off without losing a bullet. Also having two ammo slots means you can grab ammo from special or regular boxes.

Setting up the satchels like that basically makes a claymore. It'll go off automatically if someone triggers it or you can manually set it off if they're nearby but not triggering it.

1:12 Berthier I personally really enjoy this rifle, especially the Riposte, this gives you a little more versatility. I think what I like about the Berthier is for the price, you get a ok Velocity and a great option of two ammo types, I really enjoy taking Incendiary rounds and standard. I also love the sounds of this rifle, especially that ping on the clip, which just adds to the enjoyment of using the Berthier.

I love the Berthier, it’s such a fun rifle. Not the best but just fun to use. For me personally, I really like the ability to take two types of ammo and the sounds of the reload are just awesome.

The Berthier is my favourite long ammo rifle, ever since it got released. And it's marksman variant is, who would've thought favourite sniper rifle. And I usually play the regular/riposte variant, with either full standard ammo or one slot incendiary ammo, and the marksman sometimes with one slot Spitzer ammo. This rifle is so underrated. Even though it got buffed, by 6 more bullets in it's spare ammo. I love to see, you're giving this fantastic rifle a chance ❤️

getting 21 bullets in total ontop of being fast fire rate and reload and capability of two ammo types, adding in sparks pistol totaling it even more just makes it so amazing for a long ammo rifle. if u run two diff ammo types u dont need bullet goober, u can just hit ur swap ammo type button and u wont lose the 2 or 1 bullets in it lol(ontop of other certain long ammo rifles like moisin drum i love that they gave some guns more ammo, now mosin drum has a total of 25 bullets to yeet) and lastly its one of the few long ammo rifles that has a dead eye scope which i like the most since u can still use deadeye reliably in night fog or just foggy maps

Berthier is definitely a good one in it's own ways that make it distinct from other long ammos I think, I find it feels like it has a better short game than Lebel or Mosin. Hence why I haven't been using it as much because nobody pushes anymore XD That said these past few days I have seen a significant increase in melee/shotgun charges so perhaps it's a good time to dust it off

Berthier is by far one of the best if not the best long ammo rifles. Splitting ammo types is the smart thing to do since.. you can loot more ammo overall. especially from ammo boxes you bring with you XD

bertie is an awesome rifle had trouble with it at first, found out the rifle without a skin has a dark patch at the top of the aiming pin which for my potato brain makes it hard to aim with. wack a skin on it remove the dark patch and its kickass.

@DarkPersona4 Great game lol. I do have a bug when I take that messes up my ads after crouching. If you stand and move while ads the rear sight moves and the barrel moves up and down. Only happens when I take sure foot.

If you're a solo it makes you faster while crouching but supposedly there is (was?) A bug that made you faster ALL the time as long as you crouched once haha.

Hey, sorry if this is an unrelated post, but I am having connection issues with Hunt at the moment and I cannot find any sources that seem to cover the issue that I am having and this is one of the bigger Hunt Showdown channels, so I am hoping someone can help me. All of the servers regions are listed as (N/Ams) and Bounty Clash is still listed as a game option despite it being a Tuesday when this is being posted. Not sure what I can do as I already uninstalled and reinstalled the game and its still giving me this issue, and I don't have a VPN active when playing.

i been realy enjoying berthi with deadeye since teh deadeye changes. wish we had more perk required deadeye guns now. wht is it like the berthi and veterly being teh only large slot weapons that uses repeating deadeye perk, then Winnie vandal and negant presision....is that it? maybe marathon could get one that could be interesting. encountered a odd bug with berti thoguh. had 1/2 fire and 1/2 regular ammo. then found incendiary ammo box in match and swapped the 1/2 regular ammo for incendiary (so i now had full incendiary) but the gun jsut broke :D i cold only rack the bolt but it would not shoot.

would also like for them to add a dual custom ammo pistol that works like berti. game needs more reason to pick bulletgrubber. it has been not super usefull ever since they let you save ammo if relode after shot. also manual bolt cycle button would be nice. like in red dead 2 :) but that migth casue qick swap to return :P

The berthier had a bug that made it unusable occasionally but it was patched within the last week or so. Perhaps that's what you encountered? My buddy certainly did and it was very troublesome during a gun fight haha
