Psychoanalyst Doris Leicher presents on the topic of Psychohistory and Its Correlation with Modern Psychoanalysis
Psychohistory is rooted in history and psychoanalysis. It studies how culture/politics are influenced by parenting techniques, especially managing power. Sub-themes include
1.Study of childhood and education
2.Psychobiography, relating developmental histories of politically or culturally significant people to their views and actions
3.Group psychohistory, relating shared child-rearing patterns of cohorts to convergences in adult views and behavior (psycho-classes)
4.Study of art as expression of underlying group fantasies
