I am also psychologiest. My opinion has Same bro. One important scane in movie pre-climax scane that conversation between Anil Kapoor and Ranbir. If this conversation happened that actual day means all the problems was solved on that day. Santhosh subramanian also the same story but that director handling that story in family audience. Nowadays family not watch movies on theaters so youngsters enjoy the violence so director handled this way.. one movie not changed the society good or bad . So peoples are don't panic. This just a movie only. Specially Ranbir justify his character so jenuine. He deserved this award...

Basically, protagonist's brain chemical is unstable and he behaves exactly like monkey(animal). That's my theory. What do you say?

Great and clear perspective! Actually almost in many ways i too had almost same perspective as you said! After watching the movie enakum sathiama purila inda padathula apdi ena thappa irku nu elarum avlo hype kuduthaga parliament la lam pesnaga nu.. As you said it just shows our lack of maturity. That's how a psychologically affected High Value Man will behave and that is how women take decisions with that level men. (Applies to that Polygamy scene as well). Afterall a Women needs protection. If you observe closely that character is constantly trying to get love and approval from his father from childhood which he didn't get which turned him that way. That's why he cried like a child in the climax. We should try not to attach to the character and look it from a neutral/psychological perspective..

Brother , the movie got so hipped because of popular actors and actresses in the flim. From your point of view as a physiological doctor u have the ability to see the movie from an different angle. These top celebrities should have some social responsibilities, many people are watching them and it becomes a bad example. Rather than changing the minds of the people who are watching the movie , its simple if the actors who are acting the roles avoid scenes or stories which is harmful to the society. It becomes a bad example . Not many teenagers watching the movie will see it from ur point of view. Personally I like your videos and iam watching it regularly. Just sharing thoughts

I have a few doubts dr... Why did rashmika accept to marry ranbir? Is that valid? You said, it's a movie... But the fact is, till many men and women are imitating their real life by seeing a movie, which is a harsh truth that needs to be accepted... Won't the movie spoil them... One more, I watched many shorts of the director's interviews... Which is much more cruel than his film... Good video Doc. your explanation from a psychology angle was a good attempt. Q: Do you really think a wage worker from an impoverished environment would approach this movie from this angle? For them what they see on screen is an inspiration. No doubts about the technical aspects of this film incl. songs, making etc.. but a movie as a mass media must have a larger responsibility on the type of content being made esp. when it is being recognized by awards & accolades. IMHO, i think we the consumers must not blindly allow such ideas to be conveyed via mass media esp. when it can have such negative connotations and expect that to be praised.

I loved the line that..the protagonist is not a role model. Same goes with arjun reddy ...people should not take them as hero.. And also i felt if the movie had a psychological explanation to audience like the aniyan movie where through the movie we got reasons for why he behaves with different personalities....I think it would have reached the audience properly cause they are normal people..they cannot see it in a psychological way. I felt this way after watching movie.i am not sure if it is correct either .

I have been following you from the beginning. This is my first comment. If I understood properly, you admit that protagonist is full of flaw. The flaw has been glorified throughout the movie. GLORIFIYING FLAWS is WRONG. As you know about MUSIC, you can't ignore the way music glorified the flaws. Moreover, Movie doesn't justify the way you justified the decision of mother.

And here know one is criticizing how the character arc but criticizing a character For example anyone can imagine a character that raised with racism and the character kill innocent people. in this case the character May may have psychological problem by how the character was raised. Very nice thought sharing doctor. But I couldn't understand the stand of that character. He didn't bother much about his wife and kids. He didn't bother her wife's affection to her parents. I see it's more of an obsession of specific person rather than calling it as father. Because he didn't care much about her wife's love towards her parents neither he tried spend time with his son for being a better father. He ends up in proving himself that he is the best son again and again and waiting for his father's approval on the same. Moreover - on the name of gangster movies they're showing so much violence. Even in showing the father son relationship also they used the same tool which is not necessary for the story.
