@Suprachiasmatic3 жыл бұрын
@@zoescd of course! Prolapse just means that some of the cord has exited the womb before the baby has. It’s dangerous because there’s a potential for the cord to get pinched, cutting baby off from everything it needs before it’s born. Normally the amniotic sack would contain it, but once that’s broken and if the cervix has started to dilate to prepare mama for birth then prolapse becomes a concern. Thankfully she made it to the hospital and it was identified right away so that they could get she and the babies the care that they needed! 💙 (that old anatomy class coming in handy! lol)

How very special and gratifying your experiences must be, very sad sometimes too. How very special to see these tiny babies start to thrive. So special are the NICU staff.
@madisoncamacho85083 жыл бұрын
@@lenat7397 Absolutely! Typically, we always tell parents to expect them to stay until they hit their 40 week mark. Most of the time, they get discharged way before that, especially if they are breathing on their own with no additional help and presenting with no episodes of apnea. I would say the average stay for a 32 weeker in my experience would be 4-5 weeks. As long as they are eating appropriate amounts for their weight and growing, they should be able to come home fairly soon! Hopefully they won’t have to stay that long. 💗

My twins did something similar. They suddenly turned breach at week 37 (goodness knows how they found the room to turn) and then I didn’t go in to labour myself so with being over 38 weeks and breach twins they decided to do a c-section for their safety. They then found that my daughter had a true knot in her cord and I was told that if I delivered her naturally then the knot would have tightened and cut off her oxygen. These things happen for a reason. X

Have you thought of the "mood" of your water breaking at 7 weeks premature and prioritizing your hair? Getting to the hospital as soon as possible as medical staff advised her to do (hence why docs called and asked where she was) may have been where the priority could have been. A choice that put vlog footage of hair straightening and views over health.
