I’m a triplet and have some IMPORTANT advice. TREAT THEM AS INDIVIDUALS! Just because they’re twins doesn’t mean they will enjoy the same things. ALWAYS get them their own birthday cake and sing separately for each baby as you would a singleton. My sisters and I loved my parents did this. They’re beautiful and congratulations 🎉

THIS THIS THIS! I'm a twin and also one of the youngest cousins on my dads side of the family, and for years me, my brother, our sister, and our younger cousin (we were the youngest four) would get the same thing for Christmas and while it was alright when we were little kids by the time my brother and I were 12 we'd all had enough of it. A lot of family would also get my brother and I the same things for our birthday even though we share only a handful of interests. A couple of my younger cousins are just over a year apart (born Nov 07 and 08) and their parents have always treated their birthday as a joint occasion, even though they're not twins, and it's made them extremely insecure in that they feel like they have to share everything together. PLEASE treat multiples or kids with close birthdays as their own individual, it can make a world of difference.

Fun fact about the nick name lady bug: in Portuguese lady bug is "joaninha". Like the name "Joana". So little Joana or Joana (In Portuguese spelling) means literally lady bug. I'm a twin and the shot of them holding hands made me so emotional! My brother wasn't expected to survive after birth - his cord collapsed and he was doing poorly in the NICU. The nurses decided to put me in his incubator with him, and within 3 days he was doing 100% better. Off oxygen, no IVs, literally thriving. We're still close to this day

It’s an adorable book about a girl with a daisy literally growing from the top of her head and how everyone thought she was weird and tried to cut her daisy or cover it up and by the end she learns to love herself, daisy and all. Hearing about your babies coming so early & that they’re doing so well just melts me into a pile of love & tears! I used to work in a small town ER & our on call obgyn would always tell our ER doctors that if a mother is under 36 weeks pregnant then they have to go to the ER. Not labor & delivery. No matter what… I can’t tell you how many babies were delivered in the hallways, in wheel chairs, in our ambulance bay, basically anywhere where a baby just shouldn’t be born in a hospital! Your doctor sounds like one of the best & thank God she was there for you, to get you & those babies taken care of through such a traumatic birth!
