From the best as I can understand it. Literally the song is about taking care of his mother. And we promises he will. And the video symbolizes how at the same time they want to be with their family taking care of them a part of them always has to be on the road and touring. So they are kind of ripped apart being pulled in two directions.

Maybe because my eyes are colored by my own experience, but this song always screamed narcissistic abuse to me. She asks for everything, while the whole time she's in the house ignoring him. He's torn in two, wanting to follow his dreams, but stuck in place, bound to his promises to her.
@ideasmatter47372 жыл бұрын
2 points: First, the key lyric is “She asked me, ‘Son, when I grow old…’”-it’s for his mom. And the second isn’t as easy-Tyler has explained that he and Josh always feel kind of split in half when they are on the road because they care so much for their families but literally aren’t there for them. I do enjoy your enthusiasm!

could it be that they have no legs to stand on while singing this song. Tyler sings about his mom while also doing different tours around the world. that's just my interpretation of the visual

A special person in my family (won’t name) passed away due to mental health issues and committed suicide. She was so full of joy and amazing and no one saw it coming. At her funeral her daughter had this song played and it’ll always have a soft spot in my heart beautiful work of art

His mother asked him to build a house of gold when his father dies and take care of her. While part of him wants to make his mother happy, this would kill his dreams of pursuing music. The fact that his heart is with his mom and his legs are elsewhere shows that he is truly torn between pursuing his dreams and taking care of his mother. Ultimately, he dies when he stays with his Mom, which represents his pursuit of a music career dying.

This song isn't about God's love, its simply what it sounds like. He says "She asked me 'Son, when I grow old, will you buy me a house of gold? And when your father turns to stone, will you take care of me?" Its his mother asking him if he will care for her when she's too old to take care of herself and he responds with his love for his mother by saying "i will make you queen of everything you see" as a good son should ❤ its just a song about a son's love for his mother and I sing it to my mom whenever it comes on

@@ReactionTherapyOfficial no problem! Also, I believe the symbolism in the music video of both musicians missing their lower halves is that even in death, their love for their mothers will still go on just as though they were still alive, hence why they sing and play so loudly from a distance using whatever instruments are within their vicinity then fall down once the song ends

The Song itself is about his mother, and how he will take care of her when his father is dead, but I'm honestly not sure about the mv itself lol. I think it was a farming accident that cut them in half, judging by the machine he was next to at the beginning, wich I think had blood on it. And now they come back to look out for the woman (probably the mom) in the house when the sun is up, until it sets again. When I first watched this video it disturbed my pretty hard, to the point that I didn't really like the song because of it. Until I learned that it's a love letter to his mom. I think this is also the first song they did where he plays the Ukulele :)

Funny story. This week I have been training someone from our Houston Office. We started talking about music and he actually knows who TOP are. Then we discussed Suicide Boys. He was at the concert. Then I asked the biggest question yet... Do you ever watch Reaction Therapy. As soon as he said yes, we bonded! LOL He's 21 and I'm 51. My son who loves you is 15. Keep up the wonderful work you are doing and know that you are touching lives from all age groups. Love you guys! ❤️
