There are 15 FATALITIES per day for construction workers. Not a vague "assault" that could be anything from getting an empty can thrown at you, to being slapped. DEATHS. Wanna know the number one cause of cop deaths? They crash their own cars.... and the innocent lives they take out aren't counted in the statistics because only cop lives matter. Well, before COVID, which is now the number one cause of death for officers. Pizza boys, literally, have significantly higher chances of being attacked than police do. And none of these jobs allow you to carry weapons, vests, and hide in your car until you feel safe. They also don't pay anywhere near as much, or offer pensioned early retirement. But don't let facts get in-between you and your bootlicking. 🤡. Even if that were a high number, which it's not that's even lower than I would have suspected, shockingly low; but even if it were, that still wouldn't excuse their behavior. And that shouldn't even need to be explained. We didn't create policing so that they could point guns at families, it's antithetical to their existence. We'd be safer without them if that's the case. Pretty disgusting thing to defend there, buddy. But at least you got a few laughs out of what you thought was a gotcha.

I was also a police officer for 6 years when I retired from the Army. The culture of the department was disgusting, we didn’t have body cameras back then and most of guys were unable to join the military so they became cops. There many of them who’s fathers were officers before them and they all had this arrogant attitude. I didn’t care for the leadership or lack of leadership. There were two colleges and many large defense contractor companies in this city. So our mission was to ticket everyone for anything and once you were pulled over we were told to dig. Find something that would lead to an arrest. This is how we pay for our training, gear and overtime. That was what was said to me and every officer that joined the department.

Whatever reason he might have had for the stop, there's no reason to pull out a lethal firearm, on an unarmed citizen. First rule about Gun Safety always assume it's loaded, and you never pull it from the holster unless you intend to use it. In my opinion this action constitutes an unjustified threat of violence by an obviously unstable and poorly trained cop.

We've now reached a point in which the police seem SO scared and SO concerned with their own safety, SO on edge that they are about to die at any second, SO unable to conduct any action without escalating it to the point of armed conflict, SO wrapped in fear and trepidation, that the only reasonable action they can now take is to lock themselves in their police stations and stay there. Even leaving their offices seems to now drive them into a such a state of uncontrollable panic, where they see such danger in every possible situation that civilians engaged in routine traffic stops have to crawl about in the road as a terrified officers teeter dangerously close to opening fire as they scream obscenities and call for more panicked, on edge, terrified and gun happy maniacs to come and help them scream and cry, that surely the only sensible thing for them to do is stop going out at all. EVERYTHING has now become so tense and so fraught with danger for them, that the modern world outside the walls of their precincts is now a warzone crammed full of dangerous warlord citizens, mad, slavering, rabid pet dogs, clouds of fentanyl blowing down the streets. To them the world has become SO dangerous that they are surely left with only one course of action in which they can reasonably maintain 'officer safety' and that is to simply stop going on patrol and stay put in their bunkers. The police force in America has driven itself into such a state of blind rage that it has rendered itself incapable of policing the community and the only option it has left, for 'officer safety', is to stop acting as a police force entirely and let the people police themselves. Perhaps then we could have a police SERVICE, instead of a police 'force'.
