Psygnosis - Öpik-Oort - Official Music Video (Teaser 1)

Hi everyone,
I have some big news to share with you all: my band ‪@PsygnosisMusic‬ will release its new album via ‪@seasonofmist‬ on September 15th!
I can tell you that we have a video clip coming that you can start to discover with this teaser!
This song is called ‘Öpik-Oort’ in reference to the Oort cloud which is a vast astronomical cloud composed of icy planetesimals surrounding the Sun and named after the astronomer Jan Oort who discovered it in 1950.
‘Öpik-Oort’ is the first track we’ll unveil because it embodies well the vibes of the album which combines ethereal passages as well as violent moments. Writing it allowed us to unleash a vast panel of emotions and feelings to connect with our audience through music.
As a sound engineer, I was facing a challenge with “Mercury” as I had to bring together two ambiances as different as the organic feeling of the atmospheric parts and the surgical precision of the most modern aspects of this album! It was all about keeping the authenticity of the emotions the band put in it and pushing the sound engineering to make sure it reaches the standards of the most demanding modern productions. I hope everyone can feel my commitment to this goal from recording to mastering this powerful album that we are very proud to share with you in some months!
The ‘Öpik-Oort’ video clip will be released on July 12th so stay tuned!
