Yeah dude, I picked up the Tacon brushless Cavalry for myself and the WLtoys 124018 for my son. Even with 15% off the Tacon it was $90 more than wltoys. I recall the old price was maybe $150. More power to Tacon, I hope this allows them to put out more new updated RCs

My son wants to use a LC12B1 or EMB-1 on a parking lot race course to practice and get better at racing. I know these buggy's come stock with carpet/dirt track tires. What kind of wheels/tires can he get to run on the street/asphalt. I've been searching but EVERYTHING for buggy's seems to be geared towards dirt/carpet racing. The only thing I found suitable is the wheels/tires from the EMB short course truck, that one seems to have kind of a street looking tire. Any ideas?

I see you're not using the battery hold down plate. Did you glue the velcro strap down or run it under the bottom battery mount plate on the LC12? Are the square white pads double sided tape or foam padding?

The bottom is held down by the two posts at the end. The white thing is a velcro tape that helps with securing the battery.

I've seen pictures of people converting their lc12b1 to a Truggy. With the correct mounts, they should work.

Question for you on the LC Racing buggy and truggy. Do you find the mid motor mount better on the buggy vs the rear motor mount of the truggy?

I like the motor mount on the Lc12b1 more. It's a lot quicker to access and remove the motor.

@@GuyslacklusterRcReview Thanks, but EMB T body and tires can be used on LC12b1 .Napr. one has an engine in the middle and the second to the back . They look the same just have different location parts....

@@tomashucko2761 I haven't done so but I've heard people that turned their Lc12b1 into truggies posted better times at the track than the regular truggy. When driving both, the Lc12b1 feels like it can generate more speed during turns to me. It's not a night and day difference in a parking lot setting but probably much more significant in a dedicated track. The Lc12b1 comes with a carbon upper deck, sway bars, and a carbon battery holder. The battery holder design on the truggy can hold a bigger pack without mods.

The argument that the wltoys is the one to get if you like to tinker never made sense. I picked up the LC racing truggy kit because I wanted to 'tinker' and choose my own electronics. This is probably the first youtube video I've seen that acknowledges that fact.
