my sweet child, you are a momma, I didnot spend enough time with my children, I regret this very much. I realise that I was suffering mentally from an horrendous divorce, and cleaning and organising helped prove (in my jmind ), that I was not as portrayed by my ex husband. This still makes me feel guilty, but from being made homeless, to starting again with absolutely nothing with 3 children. 35 years later I still suffer with depression. So stop beating yourself up, you do your best, and that is good enough! xx grumpy grandma.

I think the lack of storage is a blessing in disguise because it helps you to not hold on to so much extra stuff. Adding shelves where possible helps. You're doing a great job in your home!!

Great job. I am a mom of three older children. I used to put the game pieces in a zip lock bag. It helps with NOT losing them and falling all over the floor.

Maybe you are thinking about doing this in the future, but a set of cabinets above the washer and dryer might help make your storage much easier. Closed storage is my favorite cause it feels less visually overwhelming. Ignore the mean comments, great video.

Nice job decluttering! I think to make your shelves look a little less cluttered is to invest in some taller rectangular white bins (not clear). You could label the bins in case it’s not easy to figure out what is inside. Uniformity is the key here in hiding the clutter. If possible I would also consider installing a long curtain to hide the stuff. Good luck and keep up the great job!

Hi Kim, The way I declutter is to take one shelf at a time instead of pulling everything out at once. That way the mess is not so overwhelming

The brown shelf next to the dryer seems very inconvenient to get to Have you thought about pulling that shelf out to the wall in front of the washer & dryer instead? To make the shelf less of an eyesore you can hang a curtain in front of it. If you need more space in the bathroom cabinet, go vertical 😊.

Great job, that was a lot of work! One suggestion, you might consider moving that brown shelf all the way to the right of that space? Then it would be a little easier to reach everything on it.

The way I stay organized is to first declutter then organize by finding a zone for everything. The key is to put things back where it belongs. I do laundry immediately when I get a load that I can wash, dry, fold and put away when finished.

Not sure if this was already mentioned but animal shelters accept blankets, sheets and cleaning supplies! Nursing homes welcome arts and crafts supplies, while women's shelters accept hygiene products as most women go there with not much on them.

WHY would you throw the plastic top of the laundry detergent in the washer with your clothes??? 😮IF that plastic breaks apart, it's going to get into your engine parts and that's going to be a big repair bill.
