I never thought that arts and crafts could be apart of my journaling. Recently I’ve been thinking about getting into sketching, but I thought since I’m so scatterbrained and I want a more relaxing life that I should focus on getting better at writing (relearning grammar, increasing vocabulary, etc.) and move on to other hobbies once I’m ready. I have been using store-bought journals in the past and they used to entertain me how black and leather the covers were and how wide, white, and tall the pages were. But after seeing things on KZbin like grimoirs and the junk journals you make I want to up my game. Journaling doesn’t have to be as boring as it once was for me, even though I do enjoy doing it despite how the journal looks aesthetically. I love this diy style and I’m so thankful for your videos. This is what I love about life: learning about things I didn’t think existed. Thank you.

I watched the cleaning of your tape drawer. You had a bunch of repositioning rolling tape. I googled: does repositioning tape become permanent over time and the answer is YES! I am new to paper crafting so I don’t know if tape is better than glue. My guess is glue is better, but I don’t have any experience to really know. I was just trying to answer my own question if repositioning tape becomes permanent. I agree with you, I don’t like to be wasteful with my supplies or anything else.

I used a whole kit of pink Stamperia Christmas with the matching hardboard cutouts, and I managed to get real vintage Christmas wrapping papers from the 1920s-1960s and made a folder of beautiful samples to put inside 😭 The only person I'm making a journal for in future is me! Thankyou so much for your sympathy, it really means a lot ♥️ oh dear. At least it's off my chest now. Thankyou Linda! Wishing you many happy hours junk journaling!

Adorbs! I make cards using the tape (I use Tombow tape) and it is much more expensive than glue but you don't have to cover the entire back of what you're sticking down, I go around the edges and depending on how big your piece is that's enough, maybe a few diagonal lines on bigger things, if you're using the permanent tape it never comes off and you don't use as much tape - lasts longer. I never used it on fabric, not sure how well that will hold over time but it looks great. I am definitely going to make some little journals 😊💗🌸🌼🌷

I love watching you, you always give me a laugh. Tape has its place, but I revisited some things I made a couple of years ago. On thin-ish paper the outlines of the tape bled through the paper...not attractive. Thick paper might be ok with tape. Just sharing my experience.

For me, I always prefer to make pocket tabs then glue the pockets to allow more room in there. I bet the cropadile holes make the signatures sit flatter!

I have a trick that works. Press the red button on the left of the screen and slide it all the way to the right. Thenpress the round arrow in the middle of the screen. It will replay the video without the ads or maybe with just 1 ad. It doesn't work if you are watching videos from a play list because it takes you to the next video. Next time when you see a ton of ads you know what to do. ❤
