Death666wish yup my cousin caught a grinder wheel to the face and chest
@jaredanthony80706 жыл бұрын
Death666wish you only loose eye sight once. Twice if your lucky and loose one at a time. I've commented about him using a face shield using a death wheel to cut a trans because when death wheels explode it's never pretty. Yes when not if because it happens far too often to say if. But they are a fan of safety squints a little too much apparently. Not even a guard on the bench grinder.

Trevor: "Man I just sorta lost interest in working on the supra right now" Most people: "it's cool man. Take your time it will come out better when you are motivated to do it anyway" Trevor: "I gained motivation to work on it so I'm going to cram videos out doing more work to the car than I have since almost the beginning in less videos than videos of sanding it" 😂😂😂😂 hey I enjoy watching and I'm glad you are finally getting it together it's just funny to see how much you've done so fast compared to the beginning lol

@06STEEZIN6 жыл бұрын
Your attention to detail is top notch and gets me stoked! It's been amazing watching this build and the fact that you take the time to film your own fabrication shows your dedication and enjoyment as well. You also explain things further to help some understand, and that is definitely admirable. Keep it up

Put that bov on the cold side by the throttle body
@LeftyTheNub6 жыл бұрын
Yep. BOV should be as close to the TB as you can get it.
@nicovanduin15536 жыл бұрын
Why?
@lexus_offroad_adventures6 жыл бұрын
N VD97 imagine all that boost hitting a wall when the throttle body closes. Either it escapes out of the BOV right away (if mounted close to the TB) or that pent up boost pressure will travel almost all the way back to the turbo before it can be vented opening up the possibility to spin the turbo backward which can destroy it(eventually) Plus it is just not good to have that delay before the boost is vented. The faster it escapes, the more the turbo will keep spinning which can improve boost levels after shifting etc.

Put the BOV on the hot side beside the intercooler if you are running high boost levels, if its too close to the throttle body it can surge it and throw codes and open the butterfly and blah, just causes issues

I just watched a video the other day that explained the confusion people have with thinking not having a blow off valve will hurt the turbo and cause it to backspool, when in fact it doesn't. The sound a turbo makes when it doesn't have a BOV and the intake closes is it just slowing the turbo down. The turbine turns too much rpm to be backspooled.

@dylannewby4026 жыл бұрын
i dont think it matters to much what side the bov on, if you were building it for emmisions i would put it on hot side so you can recirculate the air back to air filter box, but you dont need to worry about that stuff so where you put it should be fine
@Donkigonk6 жыл бұрын
@MotionAutoTv If i remember right Supra calipers are half aluminium and half cast iron. LS400 calipers both peaces are aluminium.
@brentayres126 жыл бұрын
Surge doesn’t “blow the turbo backwards”. The blades chop through the air making that sound. If the blades went from spinning over 100,000 rpm to instantly spinning backwards you’d have catastrophic results.
