I love this video! You captured everything I love! Taking us through the mundane task of laundry and showing how it’s done in Donegal is entertaining to me. Your little apartment was good to see, too! Plus, the cute towns and pubs plus the exquisite scenery rounded out a fantastic video. Thank you! Being the navigator is stressful, though thank goodness for GPS! How did we ever get along without it?

You missed out when you didn't go into the castle. Lovely views from the top. So much history to learn about Donegal. It is worth the price.

Watching your videos help me relive great memories from my visit to Ireland in 1987 with my parents (who have both passed away). We only visited “the south”, as there were still tensions in the north back then. Thanks for another great video. ❤

Ahh that is great to hear Travellinman! Hope this has been a nice experience re-living this for you with your parents. All the very best wishes to you.

North West Alarms you drove past at 4 minutes 49 seconds used to be a traditional launderette up to the late 1990s.

Donegal is imo easily one of the most scenic counties of Ireland. Many opw (office of public works) heritage places in ireland (including Donegal castle) are free to visit on the first Wednesday of every month.

Yes we can agree with that, we loved it and will be back someday soon.

Just back from a brilliant break further north in Ballyliffin. Love Killybegs, hoping to go up tomorrow for lunch. Came within a whisker of buying a house in Kilcar, (which you passed through)prior to covid in 2019 for retirement. Decided against after covid due to family issues. Tried to drive up the road to Sliabh Liag but never got there. First attempt it was closed due to weather Second time it was open but blanketed in really thick fog. Third time got half way but mother in law was getting scared so had to turn back. And since last year it's closed to cars, bus or walk only🙁 probably for the best. Oh Smithwicks red tastes even better imho if ordered with a Guinness top 👌

Your accommodation although really nice seemed really expensive, but that's just me. I suppose you have tried Air BnB as an alternative to hotels? Your washing experience was akin to my own. A new one similar to the one used is attached to a supermarket. The washing can't be nicked, however the drying has to be watched over as the door doesn't lock.

I'm a similar age to you so I get those 70's and 80's TV jokes and references you use. Makes me smile anyway. Different strokes for different folks eh?

If you are using a public washing machine you would be wise to stay by your clothes as they are washing. I know numerous folks who didn't and lost their clothes.

Ohhh guys.....rookie error with the laundry.... keep your eye on coupon codes. You can get £2-3 off per macine. We have got to it 0.50c euro for our 20kg dryer. Ireland so reminds me of NZ!!

Correction: Donegal or Dun na nGall is the name of the county. There is a town in the south of the county and it is called Donegal Town. The county town is Lifford on the confluence of the river Finn and the river Mourne.
