Is County Donegal Ireland's Forgotten County? I take to the streets of County Donegal in Ireland to ask the people of Donegal themselves!
Donegal has been labelled the 'forgotten county' by it's own people, And as part of my series '32 Counties, 32 Questions' I went to County Donegal in Ireland to find out why.

the dude at the end's segment needs to go viral. Those 9 minutes have legit changed my life. Every human on the planet should listen to this guy's outlook. Wow. I randomly searched "history of Donegal" bc it's where my grandmother and her family were from before they came to the US....I plan to visit one day.....and then I got the gift of hearing that conversation. holy shit man that was powerful. God bless that dude.

Wow. I'm in the exact same boat; grandmother's family goes back to Donegal and I've been wanting to learn more about it lately... If you're interested in similar philosophies like that last guy, I highly recommend Eckhart Tolle. He has tons of videos here on YT. May the road rise to meet you =)

This guy changed my view of life. I’m going to be watching this video once a month as a refresher. I’m glad you were able to run into this guy and capture his words. I've stayed in Donegal on two different holidays and am planning a third in May 2022. It's where I'd love to retire someday. The coastline is amazing, exploring the land, getting lost on purpose. Inishowen, Glenveigh, Sliabh Liag, all of that is amazing. I loved staying in Ardara and hanging out at Nancy's Bar, staying in Bunbeg and hanging out on the beach, making friends at Sean Óg's (who didn't laugh at my pronunciation in Irish), Errigal Mountain, the Bloody Foreland, the history in Glencolmcille.

Brady's from Strabane but Donegal's his favorite place. Not surprising. And yeah, Brendan Rohan, Pentacostal really. I think we've just listened to one of the Apostles. Chimed in above too I see. Hello Brendan!!! Being out of your mind and in your body... How would that work for a soldier or a pilot or a surgeon? It's work we do as a species, isn't it? While walking the hills, or holding our arms out for an eternity so the blackbirds can build a nest there... isn't that work for the saints? Lastly... Brendan, I hope you're still with us my brother.

The last man is an amazing one. The best friend of my parents is at this very moment fighting his last fight too. He does not really believe in the afterlife, but he will go out happy. Not for the idea of having an afterlife, but because he is happy with the life he has lived. The things he did and the chances he got. As an Australian, I visited Donegal in July 2017 on my way through Ireland. My family are from Dungloe and Ballybofey. Stopped off for lunch in a pub in Letterkenny and State of Origin (the biggest rugby league series in Australia) happened to be on. Chatted about it with an old fella for a while. Beautiful place and people.

I have been quite fortunate in life to becable to travel land see much of the world. And yet my favorite place of them all is a small village in the west of Donegal. Theres not a good way to describe it but the first time i went some piece of me fell into place. I consider it my home because the home is where the heart is and my heart is in Donegal.

My grandparents came from Towney-Kilcar then on to America years ago. It's a bit hard on the young there as they crave " excitement" and social life of the big cities. As you age you often with to go back to the home of your youth. I've been going back since 1964, but not for 21 years, I miss it all and ( especially the PEOPLE) very much.

Hi Jamie! I have seen you many times on the Try channel, and you are great to watch. This video popped up for me to watch and I must say, I am American, not a drop of Irish blood in my veins, but County Donegal is my favorite place of any I have ever visited by far. I spent about 3 weeks there in my early twenties two years in a row, went back again in my later thirties, and want to go back again in my declining years. I love the most remote areas, I seen some of the most beautiful views, the wonderful tiny towns, everything. The people are simply amazing.
