Pt.44: Porsche 911 Turbo (964) Replica. Setting the space frame on the Beetle chassis floorpans.

Today I go over placing the space frame, back on to the Beetle Chassis. This is where things start to get entertaining.
My Porsche 911 (964) Turbo Replica, is a fibreglass kit car. It is built on top of a 1970's Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle chassis. The engine is a 1500cc air-cooled VW engine, with the original drivetrain and braking system.

It will be interesting to see you figure out how to make the space frame fit as it is without modifying the space frame.

I have somewhat made it to that point. Though not perfect, due to various alignment issues. But I've made it work. All this to come in the next video. 👍

If your going to fill in the holes with weld clamp a piece of brass or copper underside of the hole to cover it , then start to weld the hole , the metal weld will not stick to the brass or copper allowing you to be able to fill the hole with ease

@@datbuild just a piece a angle from Bunnings will work, anything 3mm or thicker will work

It's an oddly complex question, with an even more convoluted answer. Short story is, it can't be remade. Has to be reused/reworked.
