Pt. Biswajit Sarkar is an eminent sitar player of Seniya Maihar Gharana, and presently transforming himself as a potential Surbahar player in the field of Indian classical music following the Dagarvani style.
The Dagarvani is one of the oldest traditions of the Indian classical music genres which is twenty generations since the inception of the tradition. The essential features of Dagarvani school are well perceived in the experiential presentation of Shri. Biswajit Sarkar.
