So so cute! Confession time - I never read Snugglepot and Cuddlepie. Listening to the start, I think I realise why! 😬 😂 I do remember laughing out loud as a little kid reading Ruth Park’s Muddle-headed Wombat, so now I am curious to reread that to find out what was so funny , or if it was something that just worked for kids. On the subject of childhood reading, I was actually completely obsessed with the Faraway Tree. Enid Blyton set my little mind racing with incredible ideas and faraway places. I visited May Gibbs’ home last year and loved seeing where she lived and worked. They used it as Magda’s home in Ladies in Black if anyone wants to see it. 😊
@createandcraftwithchristine4 ай бұрын
Oh yes, the Magic Faraway Tree was a favourite too. I dressed as Saucepan Man for one of my book weeks at school and Snugglepot got another one (I remember mum made a little gumnut hat out of crepe paper and I wore a tulle ballet skirt). How lovely that our stitching can being the memories back 💙

The Snugglepot and Cuddlepie fabric is very cute, but I wonder why they all look slightly terrified! 😂 I love how the variagated thread creates dimension in the fabric design. I can’t wait to see how bowl turns out!

@@createandcraftwithchristine great minds. I have done some punch needle but have to be careful with the other hand as well - and not hold the frame with my left hand. I’ve had arthritis in both thumbs for 20 years. It rears its ugly head now and then. I was crocheting some pieces but that also sets off the left thumb. 🙄
