I loved hearing you read while you worked. I felt so cozy listening and watching. It reminded me of my Childhood as my Mother often would tell us six children stories as she sewed. ~ Janet 😘

So so cute! Confession time - I never read Snugglepot and Cuddlepie. Listening to the start, I think I realise why! 😬 😂 I do remember laughing out loud as a little kid reading Ruth Park’s Muddle-headed Wombat, so now I am curious to reread that to find out what was so funny , or if it was something that just worked for kids. On the subject of childhood reading, I was actually completely obsessed with the Faraway Tree. Enid Blyton set my little mind racing with incredible ideas and faraway places. I visited May Gibbs’ home last year and loved seeing where she lived and worked. They used it as Magda’s home in Ladies in Black if anyone wants to see it. 😊

Oh yes, the Magic Faraway Tree was a favourite too. I dressed as Saucepan Man for one of my book weeks at school and Snugglepot got another one (I remember mum made a little gumnut hat out of crepe paper and I wore a tulle ballet skirt). How lovely that our stitching can being the memories back 💙

The Snugglepot and Cuddlepie fabric is very cute, but I wonder why they all look slightly terrified! 😂 I love how the variagated thread creates dimension in the fabric design. I can’t wait to see how bowl turns out!

I so enjoyed your pentagon bowl I made three of them in different sizes so they sit inside each other. I plan to make two more larger ones, but all will be like the first three. I did adjust the sides so they would be a little tighter and am really excited with them. Thank you again for all the ideas!!💗

@@createandcraftwithchristine great minds. I have done some punch needle but have to be careful with the other hand as well - and not hold the frame with my left hand. I’ve had arthritis in both thumbs for 20 years. It rears its ugly head now and then. I was crocheting some pieces but that also sets off the left thumb. 🙄

Wonderfully inspiring as always Christine. This story is one I remember reading as a child. I can remember a rainy winter morning before anyone else was awake, sitting up my cosy bed and delighting in the gumnut babies adventures. Thank you for the very poignant memory.❤❤

What a treat this Saturday morning! A cute story while stitching. A very lovely and humorous story. My 1st time learning about Snugglepot & Cuddlepie! Thank you Christine for multi-tasking, you’re gem! My childhood bedtime stories are of fairytales about winged magical creatures, gnomes, talking animals, etc. Ah, the innocence of childhood, makes for a magical time❤. May you have a relaxed weekend and good time stitching. 🌸tess

Hi Christine. Hope you are well. It’s been a little while since I’ve been over to see you. I’ve been busy and have just started my bowl. I hope I can get it finished before we start Vol.6. I have a Snugglepot and Cuddlepie book. I don’t know where I got it. I thought the names were so cute. I need to get it out and read it to my granddaughter. I love that fabric. It is just adorable. It’s going to be such a sweet bowl. You are a clever girl. I’ll try to come by for the next chapter of the story and to see how the bowl is coming along. Hugs ❤️🙂

Your bowl is going to look amazing. Yes please on the adventures of snugglepot and cuddlepie , throughly enjoyed the story. lol you forget how gruesome children’s books could be think this is why I’m liking the story no political correctness here. Poor Mr Frog, part of me wondered if maybe he was poison ness so killed the snake 🐍 and somehow hopped out. lol yep love children’s gruesome story’s. Thanks for the relaxing morning video.
