@@INTHEGARAGEwithGraham my first car was a Ford v8 Windsor auto. I used to drag the guys down at the Port in Brisbane in the 80s. I rebuilt the motor and sprayed painted it. Sold it to hide from my ex. I'm a woman btw.

That "YELLOW STUFF" Is called Spray putty , Its used in the auto trade when finalizing the repair work , it helps to Hide all the scratch marks.from the panel beater, befor it goes into the spray shop... All the best Graham..;-)

Hi Graham good to see ya back mate on the boot seal use only Bosch mastic as it always stays soft and never use silicone it creates rust and corrosion as for windscreen the old Ford's use a no5 bostic kit which U heat up with a battery charger to put in as they have an element inside seal or you can convert to urethane if you can prop up screen with small bits of rubber blocks and cut to size to suit car looks good for it's age

On old acrylic enamel a wool buff pad will work the best

The yellow was probably British Primer to stop further Rust....
