Do the crank bearing race in the kitchen. Stick the crank in the freezer and the race in the oven. Use oven gloves instead of pliers and just drop the race straight on… Your welcome!

Smashed a crank in 81. Didn’t use a feeler gauge to set the replacement. Did I get lucky it didn’t seize 😂😂

Maybe, they don’t normally seize, but they tend to rub and not spin freely
