Dear Dr. Heffernan, Thanks for the clear explanations. understanding is not only related to "what's the program trying to do" but, it's also related to...sometimes...also knowing the correct keystrokes! I'm an old dog (P.E. for 25+ years...LOTS of calcs by hand) and a significant frustration with Mathcad (and other programs) is often...why can't I get it to do that! Once again, Thanks. i want to multiply a range variable with another variables in Mathcad and gives error. vectorizing is also not working

Ive tried the exact same thing (define range variable as i:=0..10 and then x(sub_i)=2*i ) and it wont work, stating that it must be a scalar. is it a bug?

Hi Sergio. Hard to tell without looking at your sheet. Make sure you are using the square bracket (not the Ctrl and -) to define x as an array. It’s not the standard subscript.
