Fly down and bite at the spot you saw the turtle. I've gotten alot of invisible ai that I could still hear, kill, and eat. Boars I saw from a distance disappeared up close.

I find all my S in the marshland that's in southern Delta, near that sea wall. Also, hypsi hunting as ptera is my favorite hunt in the game. SO much fun when you finally get good at ptera and swoop in on hypsis at S.Plains or West Access, some place with wide open fields. If you get a headshot on them, it only takes one peck. When I hear them i damn near fly across half the map 😂 its soooo fun

i never realised ptera could do that speed increase by diving and flying at a leveled height. everytime i tried i went back to normal speed

You start to lose speed the moment you try to gain elevation, the same works with 'sprinting'. You can go up to a decent height and then sprint for like a second and let go, simply cruise around at a high speed for ages... so simply put, only use the turn keys to turn and avoid any move forward or up keys and you will keep the speed.

36:00 That 1 call you heard was a young hypsi call. That hypsi is a 40% grown at most. Full sized ones that take 3-4 pecks to kill give way more food!

FG hypsi has 20 hp. FG ptera does 20 damage with peck.

There is one thing I want for Ptera and that is the ability to pick meat/organs from the ground and bodies while flying with the same mechanics that they can fish, either holding the secondary attack button while flying low to the ground for a 'easy automated' way to grab stuff at the cost of speed making it much riskier or attacking which can be done at any speed but requires timing it correctly. Stealing food is peak seagull behaviour and thats all we need to have a lot of fun with this and honestly make Ptera a lot more 'viable' in a PvP sense rather than just eating AI.

Wouldn't say that pond is a good spot to not get attacked by Deino's, that pond is typically the pitstop for Crocs making their way to South Plains, it's easily the safest route for them.

The hypsi was a juvi male. It had the display feathers, they were just short. You didn't get much from it because it wasn't fully grown.

When you killing a frog it's dead body stays in your mouth. It works with everyone. Except pteranodon! I hate it so much. I lost so many of them because they just stay in the water or fly under the map if you actually manage to catch them. Why can't I just fly from the sky and catch stuff? Unfair. 😢

You wouldn't find a lot of fish going at that speed. AI spawn near player activity and that can often mean behind the player. You probably had a number of fish spawn near you but didn't register them because of how fast you move. They also don't always spawn at the surface which is annoying.

Actually not all dinos weight is Hp, For example,troodon weights 60 kg but has 120 health

@jabuti35162 Not sure how accurate that is, lost(and killed) a lot of fully grown Troodons to 1 hit kills from dinos that I very much doubt to 120+ damage per attack unless the weight = hp is so inaccurate for everything else as well that it does not really matter if the Troodon has 12 or 120 health compared to the health and damage that everything else has.

@@TheHuffur they had buffed it's health in lasts years February. Apparently it does take 2 hits for a dilo to kill it but its 1 headshot, meanwhile utah 2 headshots or 2 Normal hits

@ I know that is what the devs claim at least. Teno claw attack supposedly does 125 damage, that WILL kill you with one hit even if you have the -15% damage taken mutation which no matter if it is applied as effective health: 120 + 15% = 138 or applied on the damage taken: 125 - 15% = 106 A 120 health Troodon should survive that unless basically every single claw swipe is a automatic headshot no matter your facing direction etc. Similar problem with a few other dinos, Pachy shouldnt be able to 1 hit kill a Troodon either but they sure as hell do(also 100% headshots?). Omni alt-attack afaik only does 75 damage, yeah its a scam, but that too will kill or absolutely wreck a Troodon down to a sliver of health and a Troodon would survive 2 normal bites with the -15% damage mutation which seems unlikely. Anyway my main point was that their health does not really matter since most things still kill them with a single hit, devs could say they have 120000 health and it would not matter if a Teno spinning around flailing its claws will decimate every single Troodon in the area with the slightest touch.

Thermals are still active during sunset, especially over fields. not so much over forests afaik. And if there is wind, there are very strong uphill winds on mountain sides, where the wind has no other way to go other than up. Canyons can also have wind tunnels from cold air thats barreling downhill, like a river
