What is the Difference between the Standard and Pro Versions
Here is a list and brief explanation of the additional features in the Pro Version
There are three extra features relating to batch processing of images in the Pro version. These are
1. Batch Stitcher can generate control points and set up a panorama
2. Batch Builder: scan folders for panoramic source images and automatically create projects based on a template
3. Support for Batch Lists (save and load a list of jobs for the Batch Stitcher)
The Pro version will Stitch and blend HDR (high dynamic range) and LDR (low dynamic range) source images into an HDR panorama.
The pro version includes a built in tone mapper for all of the images and blend parameter for blending the nadir image in a spherical panorama.
Viewpoint correction allows one to use different camera viewpoints in the same panorama, provided that the relevant part of the images is approximately flat. It is particularly useful when including a handheld nadir image in a panorama taken from a tripod.
Vignetting correction minimises any color and brightness differences between the source images. Automatic color and exposure adjustment, corrects vignetting, flare, exposure differences and white balance differences.
The correction is fully automatic; by analyzing the contents of overlapping images, PTGui Pro can determine the vignetting characteristics of the lens and compensate for it.
Masking is the most powerful single extra feature of the Pro version. When creating a panorama from multiple photos, moving objects can cause stitching problems. For example a person walking around the scene may appear in the panorama twice, or may even be cut in half by the seam between two overlapping images.
PTGui Pro masking tool can be used to prevent these problems. By masking you can tell the blender precisely which part of the images should or should not be visible in the blended panorama.
PTGui is owned and developed by New House Internet Services BV in the Netherlands.
