Kristian Blummenfelt has almost won it all in just the space of a year. Olympic champion, World Series champion, IM World Champion and Sub 7 champion - the Norwegian has dominated triathlon for the past 12 months.
However, sometimes it's harder to stay on top than it is to get there, particularly with teammate and best friend Gustav Iden hungry for success and the legendary Jan Frodeno returning from injury to try and reclaim his crown as the best triathlete in the world.

Kristian interesting to hear you say you might not be the best runner. lol - you are for sure the #1 runner. You have inspired me in so many ways. You can win Kona 2022 but always remember Lionel is training like a beast to catch you and Gustav. Watch out for Lionel and Gustav and remember you have yet to be challenged on the run. You were challenged in the Olympics, and you dug deeper to get gold. Lionel will need about a 7-minute lead off the bike which will be difficult due to his swim. Gustav might only need a 1- or 2-minute lead off the bike but your running on empty tank has yet to be challenged.
