yes it needs to have constant power to be visible. Power off/invisible. the remote flashes red when switched but you don’t know if it is on or off. press off it flashes, press on same flash

So when the car is parked it doesn’t show the license plate because theirs no power?

No exactly. If it’s ran straight to a power source ( the battery) as long as the battery isn’t dead it’ll always have power even when the vehicle is on or off.

It looks like the flash of a red light camera or speed camera can show the plate even when blacked out. Can anyone confirm ?
