This is a step by step procedure for rebuilding the Ferrari PTU. Only master qualified transmission technicians should attempt this repair. Use discretion when following instructions as I am offering this guide just for you to understand what goes into this repair, not for you to copy these steps and have a flawless repair. Would be cool if you did a full teardown and repair of the getreg. I know you have covered many of the faults but it would be great if you did one video of a full teardown and bascialy explaining what could go wrong eg weep hole sap ccp ect and do a repair of like a speed sensor. I think that kind of video will be helpful to bascialy anyone who owns a modern ferrari

How much do you charge to fix the PTU?. amd is it a permanent fix?

Please contact Hollywood Mechanic in Los Angeles for pricing. We have not seen the same failure since installing the upgraded lock rings and bushings but it is hard to say it will never fail without having years on the unit. The spiral locks and the bushings are rated for lateral loading and the pressures the unit is operating at, so theoretically, it is a permanent fix with a seal that will have a maintenance life as any seal would. There are other less common faults we see in the ptu, and we address those when we rebuild the unit so you have no future issues.
