Hey, thanks for this video. Quick question, is there a SDI cable you'd recommend for 12G transmission?

@@chrissiemilnarskii I like Canare in general for anything SDI but many people simply make and crimp their own for cheaper.

I'm assuming this isn't going to be necessary if you're using an NDI encoder? What kind of setup do you use both of these cables combined?

I don’t use NDI so it helps me avoid latency and networking troubles. So I use the Ethernet cable for camera control and power over Ethernet. The SDI cable is to get the video feed back to my atem.

You should be able to search for the same type of cables. And to find the same sizing for the cable loom. But I don’t have an easy method from the US to search French websites. Sorry.

Thank you so much for using 1855. I’m so tired of dealing with 1694 and whatever else garden hose sdi Cable.

Yes I learned my lesson with the thicker cables. Such a pain to wrap. Between the 1855 and this particular CAT cable it's pretty nice and thin. The older cables I used were purchased on eBay and while it was great at the time, it was the only source of a combo cable and they were simply too annoying to wrangle. Could barely over/under wrap them. This new one is a dream.
