Love the vid u brits got some weird language man I dont understand some the things u say NOW this "gas omoter" thing (just to be clear the beginning of this vids is just nuts its just too much to deal with ) are you two talking about the large circular oil tanks that u landed on cause idk where this odometer comes in u gotta explain that and yes if ur driving a car u look where u want to go because u go where u look ur drawn to it unconscious thats true

“I don’t like this Jack, I don’t like this free form jazz approach you’re taking here!” Then ends the video with a bit of jazz, nice.

I’ve been watching Jack since the early days & it seems i will be a sub of yours for ayears to come as well!

The ABSOLUTE BEST 10 minutes of PUBG I've ever watched! You two rock!

Its real Will. In racing we often say you look where you want to go. This is due to our reaction during a distressed situation "oh shit moment" the body often stiffens up and this will result in you looking at what you dont want to hit. But in the seconds before you hit, due to you tensing up you often dont react before you realize its going bad and thus smack into the object you wanted to avoid. His theory is a widely known one in the auto racing community.

1:03 about the crashing into trees thing... I have another explanation which was taught to me when I was learning to drive. Apparently when you think you are going to hit something (like a tree) and you stare at it getting closer, you may try to miss it more narrowly than if you were looking past it or further to the side where you want to go.

Gasometers are the weeping angels of utility bills. Also, target fixation is very real.
@dominatorbooze8381Ай бұрын
Target fixation is a thing, maybe not too bad in a cat but on a tight corner on a motorbike it's definitely a thing. You look where you want to go, not what you're trying to avoid as this is where your brain tries to direct you. 100% legit.

I hate to say it, but Jack's not far from the truth. You tend to gravitate towards things you're looking at. It's one of the principles behind snapshooting training - the tendency to point naturally towards where you're looking. If you've ever played with Nerf guns or water pistols with kids, for example, they tend to hit you in the face a lot, and that's because they're almost unconsciously aiming where they're looking, and they tend to keep eye contact, so they naturally aim at your face. You may also notice that people rarely tend to walk in a straight line when they're walking down the road, because you can unconsciously veer towards what you're looking at. It's a natural side effect of the predatory nature of our makeup - having forward facing eyes gives great depth perception for hunting, but limits peripheral vision, so we tend to become almost fixated on what we're looking at. Oh, and the gasometers? They're collapsible. As the amount of gas inside decreases, they lower the top half to keep the gas at a constant pressure, to maintain that pressure in the gas mains. I could honestly listen to you two all day 🙂
