The guitar...the bass...I’m not sure which one is making me more aroused. My goodness, what a live performance. Thank you so much for uploading.

John McGeoch's guitar playing... ace. Interesting to see how the Soviets were starting to ease cultural restrictions at this stage.

Things were evolving really fast those days. 1987 such a concert was impossible. 1988 -- a new normality. Actually this festival was organized by some Finnish guys and fest included numerous Finnish bands.

I've seen many bands live. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, The Police these are Big names Prince, Woodstock 94, Genesis, Rush Rainbow, CSN. Greatfull Dead I rank these Guys up with them because of their Command Performance Thanksgiving Night 1987 @ Bogarts in Cincinnati Ohio. By far the best Light Show maybe the Best of All Concerts that I went to! The Music, Sound, Feel, I literally NEVER FELT MUSIC LIKE THAT CONCERT EVER! I

Very. And in spite of them having equipment problems and logistical concerns playing behind the Iron Curtain. I have a bootleg cd of this I bought in the UK in the 90s.

I remember seeing this footage for the first time and being blown away as the 87-88 era always interested me a lot because of the scarcity of live material. I'd of course owned the FM broadcast for years before I finally saw this footage though, and it has to be said the mix on that audio is superior to what it is here - perhaps somebody could sync it up?

This was a pop album, but I loved it. As it turns out they only made one decent album after this. I saw them live a couple of years ago. I was a little late (john had glasses and a lectern), but still a great show.
@colewhite4184 Жыл бұрын
more and more shows I've been to have had the singer using a lectern, why? I'm not sure, perhaps after 40 years of playing music the lyrics can all become one song and it can be confusing

I think the whole band is dressed in their pyjamas, I guess it was the whole thing with PiL during the later 80's years... lol Peter Hook (from New Order) used to complain he was deceived by the band outfits during their "Monsters Of Alternative Rock Tour" during the summer of '89...

Love the writing on Happy, 9 and others but hate McGeough's guitar. That flanger sound was already outdated by 1978. Lydon could have done a lot better. Really glad to see Seattle performed tho.
