Disagree with previous comment. IMHO Ted is that guy you went to high school with that had ok grades and a small circle of friends. The self proclaimed cool kids would’ve said lame un-popular kid. Maybe got into a little mischief but pretty tame compared to most. He had 2 parents that actually gave a f;$& and tried to be involved in his life. That gave him the “small town take it or leave it because this is me” wholesome persona with good values and decent morals. Which is why like it or not everybody loves “Ted” and the show is tremendously more valuable with him in it. Most think Ted’s don’t exist. But in my experience traveling to hunt public for 20 years, there are a ton of tiny (FARM COMMUNITIES) throughout the Midwest that are full of Ted-ish or Ted like young men.

Full transparency just what I see. As a middle aged guy from the mountains of Georgia who was the guy described in the first comment X-10. Until around my mid 20’s when all the 🙏 praying by my grandmother and others finally paid off and I was able to reach down with both hands and remove my head from my a$$. Anyways I don’t do social, hardly ever even leave a comment. But as it’s prob evident I have some pretty strong feelings on this subject. Ranging from wishing we had more young men like Ted to whatever Teds we do have out there are possibly the best last hope at returning this 🏳️‍🌈 bass ackward country back into the U.S.A. 🇺🇸 that I’m so proud of and blessed to have grown up in. 😂🤣

I really appreciate you all pointing out the native browse, especially things like duck potato that isn't as obvious. You had mentioned in this episode you think they are eating smart weed. In my observation, deer don't eat smart weed, even in areas without ag or quality food sources. However they do seem to feed heavily in recently dried up marshes. What I have seen is they love eating Bidens tripartita, before they seed out and dry up, in early fall especially when it's dry out. We call them stick tights. I guess some people call them beggars ticks. These grow right with the smart weed in areas that were wet and recently dried up a little. I'm interested to hear if this is what is going on where you are, or if they are in fact eating smart weed...or something else. If it's something else please let us know what it is.

They hunt most these areas year round so they know the terrain and where to really find the deer, I’m sure bedding and food changes slightly year to year but yes I agree, they get in on big bucks pretty regularly

This particular area they’re hunting in this video, they’ve hunted many times over the past few years. I’ve seen it in other videos. So in other words, they’ve got this area pretty well figured out. When they go to a new state that they’ve never been, they don’t have as good of luck. Especially not right off the bat. I enjoy all of their videos, and am a huge fan. But different states present different challenges for them, no doubt.

Bought your adapt plus compound bow, question, why is my string and peep sight and release loop twisting so badly and how do I make it not twist so it don’t cost me a deer. Would like to know as soon as possible being that I’m in the tree stand as we speak I put a normal peep sight on because the rubber tube one that came with the bow broke within 2 weeks

Ted is that one kid you went to high-school with that smoked cigarettes and did some backyard small engine repair. Then after high-school he lightly dabbled in meth but got lined out and got a decent job at a tire shop for a couple years, now he's working to expand as an entrepreneur.

If you hang personal cams on public land make sure you put away to identify them as your property, also put dnr markings with numbers like 7, 19, etc and print some kind of barcode and then put a lock on them. These steps will make people think twice about messing with them if they could get caught lol.

What is it about trail cams that people can't just leave them alone. I haven't had my cams destroyed, but have had sd cards stolen. 2 cards out of the same cam this year alone. And it's on private land. The cam got a picture of the possible culprit about a week before the first card disappeared. I showed it to my hunting buddy, to the land owner, and police. My hunting buddy said it's a known poacher around the area.
