Spend summers in So. Utah mountains with deer and elk all around. All I can think about is that damn desert hunt in Jan. So much fun!

I love you guys because you’re real. You use vacation time and do “weekend warrior” hunts. It shows that the average working stiff can still get out and do bucket list hunts too, you just have to be disciplined and put your nose to the grind stone. It’s a breath of fresh air to watching people who have turned it into a career with endless endorsements. Not knocking people who have done that, I’m just saying it’s nice to see “normal” guys too.

planning on making a trip to do an OTC hunt next year. Any advice on what unfits to stay away from or if any are better then others? Thanks
@TheMountainProject5 жыл бұрын
All can be good! Northern half is good in December and southern half can be better in January, also in January you can get a javelina tag. So if you want to get the most of your trip I would say January has best opportunities, unit wise they all get pressure, just depends what you wanna Hunt, muleys or whitetails or desert or high country. A lot can go into picking a unit

Your new format this year is very interesting and telling the entire story as a series of shorts is interesting. My favorite of yours is still the Kodiak bear hunt from last season. It just “felt” different than the other outdoor programming. More artistic, if that’s a word? Outside the norm like Branlon and Rinella. Do you plan on going back and doing a single show in the same “feel” as last years, with any of the different hunts from this year?
@TheMountainProject6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Brian, we talked about making a short film out of the sheep footage. KZbin is the platform for 'the more content, the better', and honestly we cut out a lot of footage on the artistic films. We may make another one in the future, but for now we are just showing everything. We do enjoy making a nice film.

Hey guys, are there any units in AZ that you would definitely advise against for rifle hunting mulies? I'm taking a friend for his first time hunting, and I'd like for him at least to get something. Great job as usual in providing quality content!
@TheMountainProject6 жыл бұрын
Mule deer are everywhere, I suggest finding an area with low amount of General season tags and putting in some work, or put the odds on you favor and work harder then everyone else. Either way you can find a buck in any unit. We like for general hunts 10, 17a and 17b, 18b, 19b, 19a, 20a, 20c. You should be able to get a tag out of them and their all full of deer.

The Mountain Project I've been wearing it for 6 years and have harvested 6 mule deer slowly walked right to them I wasn't a believer until I wore it and in my years of hunting swear by the suit go to the hecs sight I have 6 hunting buddies that teased me until they sat on a hill and watch me limp over and kill a big buck I had a stroke in 2012 and drag my left foot all 6 of them wear the suit its very light good quality and I'm not a sales rep just found something that really works however the wind still has to be right and you can't waive at the animals but slow movements the deer don't get spooked

4% success rate for AZ OTC archery deer hunts. But it’s a lot of fun trying even when it doesn’t work out.
You guys are great guys. I respect that you need to get some footage. But this video drugs. It looks like a pretty boring hunt and honestly the video is tough to watch it so slow. Just some honest feedback. Good luck with the next one
