I came across a older video It was the one about the slavic grocery store Tworg is very easy to make and likely cheaper than the imported version All you need is a gallon of non homogenized whole milk (the kind that separates into milk and cream) And a pack of buttermilk All you do is mix them together Wait for it to curdle (a bit of wey should be visible when its shaken) Heat untill the curds contract (i do about 50‐60°c but you can go higher) And run it through a cheese cloth untill it reaches your desired moisuture contnent

Yes this! I guess it’s not as common these days… but when I was a kid, I was always at the library after school bc it was sort of a free after school care 😅😅 I would do my homework there, and my mom would pick me up after work. My local library now is so cool, and I try to spend as much time there and encourage people to sign up for cards even if they don’t go often… it helps keep those places funded.

And that's only the stuff you can see. Most of our libraries have access to ebooks, audiubooks, and movies through various apps like Libby. This year my 16 year old, who has difficulty reading due to vision issues, fell in love with audio books. She's listened to so many books this summer. At first her younger sister kept teasing her saying she wasn't really reading. I kept pointing out the advantages of audio books. Eventually, my youngest tried one and fell in love with listening to books too. 😂

It was the first one I ever got (other than my student one which let me use the university’s library, of course). There were libraries where I grew up, but they were either in languages I didn’t speak/understand (I’ve lived abroad a lot) or in case of my home country, they were purely reference libraries with textbooks for high school or, more often, university level students, without any of the cool events and things for younger ages. Libraries are my absolute favourite part about living the west too. As an avid reader, I collect library cards and memberships now wherever I can 🥹
