She looks like she couldn't care less and looks like she's about to fall asleep. She's disgusting, and as a dv survivor, I believe she is no different than an abuser. She used her position of power to abuse an already broken down victim. Kicking someone while they are down is about as low as you can get. I hope she gets hers. Karma is a real thing.
@surpriseimblack Жыл бұрын
👆🏾It has nothing to do with domestic violence. Judges like her just under extreme pressure to not have the jury wait. It's not personal at all. If you're really upset having to change the incentive structure. The girl said she would show up and she didn't show up. The judge gets penalized for that for not running an efficient trial. And it drops their score..

@@surpriseimblack Under extreme pressure from whom? By the time this DV victim stood before Judge Collins, there was no waiting jury, and a plea agreement had already been reached. Judges don't get "penalized" if a victim in a criminal case doesn't show up to trial, that's nonsense. Judges are either elected or appointed. They don't have performance reviews and they aren't scored on a points system, either. Where the hell are you pulling this complete BS out of, your ass or just thin air?

At face value, that is correct. But think about this; her reputation is forever damaged. Now, whenever she appears in a courtroom, attorneys are going to immediately know that she's the one who berated a victim of domestic violence. Public confidence in her decision making has also likely been irreversably damaged. Not exactly good things to be known for when you're a judge. So yes, punishments doled out for these cases of misconduct are shockingly light. However, the reputational and ethical damage these reprimands cause on judges is significant.
