as opera singer were you breathing hard through mouth on stage and how did you calm it down after show? when someone else was singing on stage were you catching breath?

Thanks for asking; when I sang opera, I breathed regularly through my mouth before singing. When preparing to sing and calming my nerves, I would breathe through my nose.

@@AllisonShapira what about during intermission and after the show? were you out of breath so much you couldn't speak? how did you calm it down?
