I love that you didn't get the footage. Worry about killing the animal ethically first. One of the most frustrating things I see on these hunting channels is missing shot opportunities, or poor shots because someone is pissing with a camera. Love your videos! Keep up the great work.

Daniel I met you and Jeremy at the NWT convention in Nashville this year. I walked away convinced you guys are both great people. Your channel and vids are surpassing all the others. Please stay as real and humble as you are in person and on your vid’s. And please please don’t add the silly music that so many channels have. That just ruins the sounds that we all love to hear. You guys are good hunters and outdoorsman. Thanks for sharing your techniques and your equipment info. Really enjoyed this vid. I’m now posses the 1”” TOA heads. May God bless you both.

I agree on the ground scent. It seems when it’s very cold it messes with there nose more. Biggest buck of my life on public came right down my walk in path with 4 inches of snow on the ground. Never smelt a thing. Mature buck. Nice deer, better than my Illinois hunt.
@Wookie11227 ай бұрын
I’m a bear and hog hunter and i use hounds , but when the ground is froze solid my dogs actually do better at working out a track . So which really doesn’t make sense
@dfontenot937 ай бұрын
As for the smelling in the cold i would assume it has something to do with the molecules being closer and not moving as fast. Ive never paid attention to how deer act about it but it makes sense. I love watching you guys keep up the great work.

I don’t know about the scent thing, But all of my life I’ve had gun dogs from quail rabbit and deer and they’ve never had an issue with frost or snow when it comes to pointing and running. Not saying deer can smell as good as a dog so I don’t know ! Congratulations again Daniel. You two always bring it like it is.

I can’t say for sure, but I believe the same thing about the frosty ground and scent. I always wear rubber boots, but I think that frost limits their ability to pick up ground scent. On a frosty morning, I see most of my deer right after the frost starts to drip as it is melting in the sun. But that is just my experience. Congratulations!!

Daniel...Head tag/leg tag. One or the other! Heres a pro tip...carry a pencil and piece of paper. Write down conf# with pencil on paper. Then transfer to the tag after you get off phone. The tags have some type of waxy laminate on them that make then impossible to write on in the field! DO NOT get caught moving a deer without a tag. 185.00 fine I witnessed this!
