Publix Deli Employee here I appreciate this review very much. This is an exceptional sub because the tenders are hand breaded and made with 100% breast meat like you'd buy off the shelf. Toss them with buffalo sauce and get it toasted with mozzarella or provalone and its fantastic. It's all grocery-grade ingredients so it's all better than fast food

I work at the Publix deli too the biggest thing I think you forgot to mention too is the fact that we get fresh baked bread every day from the bakery. literally impossible for fast food to beat fresh baked bread and fresh meat, cheese, and grocery fresh veggies. i work at a store in the middle of downtown in a college city and I see so many people people come in every day talking ab how they’re the best subs in the city lol

As a former Publix employee who worked 14 years and still has many friends still with the company...I'm very happy that you had a good experience. Basically if you get a sub of any kind from Publix, insist on fresh bread. When the bread is fresh, everything else falls into place. In addition, the chicken tender sub is on sale from time to time and can be had for 5 to 6 bucks and is absolute steal. Publix Supermarkerts is an institution in the south east and I can't emphasize enough: If you have a poor experience at one of their stores, let them know. They will go out of their way to make it right for you. Don't be embarrass or thinking you're going to get someone in trouble. they truly want you to be satisfied. The culture and mindset is to make sure you're satsified and happy with your experience and if you're not, to do whatever it takes to make it. Enjoy my tasty tendie treats, in comfy big boy booster seats. McDonald's Hardees, Publix, Canes, but of my tendies none remains. She tries to make me take a nappy, but sleeping doesn't make me happy. As a former Publix employee, I can honestly say it’s my favorite type of sub I’ve had from the deli. 9/10 times I’d usually get that one, even if I was on a day off I’d still go in to my work and pick one up. It is definitely pricey but so worth it, I like it even more when it’d be on sale for like 5.99 instead of the 7.99/8.99 like it’d sometimes be.

I love how professional you are dressed while eating a Pub sub lol it’s low-key hilarious. And don’t get me started on how professionally spoken this review was. 😭 Chicken Tender subs are definitely 10/10 when made right. There are often many sales of specific subs so I suggest that you check the Publix papers to find out what sub is currently on sale. You can find the chicken tender whole sub for only $6.99 when on sale. I personally use garlic Parmesan on my chicken tender subs and that just makes it so much better 😩 great video!

When they go on sale, they sell like hotcakes If we as associates get a compliment to the manager for doing a good job, we receive a voucher for a free half sub or $5 off a grocery purchase of $25 or more

Suggestions for your future pub sub ventures: -Get mayo/honey mustard + chipotle gouda cheese. -Try the "ultimate" sub, it's turkey + roast beef + ham. -Go hard in the toppings. Olives, banana peppers, jallies, onions. -Before they put on the lettuce/tomato, ask them to bake it. -After the lettuce/tomato, ask for sub sauce. Trust me ROTW, you'll be on a one -way train to flavortown. Glad to see you finally got to try pub subs!

It's not my go to Publix sub, either, but I did have one a couple of months ago and was pleased and a bit surprised by how good it is. I thought fried chicken tenders had no business being put in a baguette, but it really works. They take them right from the hot side of the deli and slice them so you're not just biting into a whole strip of chicken. Fresh and excellent

A part of me died inside when you said you never tried a Publix sub before, espec since I've heard u mention u've been in FL now like me lol (If I remember correct u lived in the North East before, and guess u haven't been here too long either) Anyways made me so happy to see u've found out what u've been missing. I have a restauraunt bucket list I made myself for Central FL where I'm at & in the past couple years have checked off Jimmy Johns (NEVER AGAIN!), Jersey Mike's, Firehouse, Wawa, a couple local mom & pop places...I've had Quizno's...Blimpie (are those even around anymore??) Subway 100's of times, I worked there in my teens & devoured everything off the menu there numerous times =P....I have a few more to try out of curiosity but I'm 100% convinced NOTHING here will ever come close to a Publix Sub...Loved the review, hope u get to go back & try some others soon...alot of em don't list it on the menu anymore but if u ask they'll make u an Egg Salad or Crab salad sub, couple of my personal favs! I get my Publix chicken tenders sub with bbq sauce and bacon. They get the sauce from the back room or off the shelf in the isles of the store. They have always had buffalo sauce as a option when I have been there.

As a former Publix deli worker they are still the best. Little known fact (or secret depends on who you ask) you can get ANY of their deli meat on a Publix sub not just the menu items listed on their board. I recommend the buffalo chicken or salsolito turkey with the chipotle gouda cheese. But you could do any sandwich combo. Some people like the Italian sub for example but don't want the capocola (sp) and ask for pepperoni instead. The Philly cheese is good too as well as the chicken salad. You can't go wrong adding plain havarti cheese or a smoked gouda. Honey turkey or honey ham is always a good hit too. Basically you can't go wrong and the options are limitless. I ordered my first chicken tender sub and yeah it was very good with just ranch and honey mustard. I held off on lettuce and stuff since i wanted to taste the chicken and dressing till next time. The only bad side was whoever made my sub cut parts of the hard unchewable chicken which upset me . I see a lot of Subways down south where up north only sell subs which many steer away from cuz of stale meat and only thing I bought there was the meatballs sub but that was ten years ago since the commercials on TV show the menu had been revamped , good luck since Publix will blow you outta the waters.

Update from my last post , I really enjoy the chicken tender sandwich. The first thing you notice is the weight of the sandwich feels like 2 pounds but not . This sandwich is stuffed with chicken and still don't bother with lettuce since it takes too much room from the chicken just ranch dressing . The chicken is made from boneless breast of chicken . You get a satisfying meal you can buy the wedges but split them with someone else cuz you won't be able to eat all of them yourself. Or buy some barbecue chips or other flavor that rocks you silly . The blend of two adds to the meal . If you buy a whole sandwich save the other half for later or next day

YES PUBLIX SUBS ARE A LEGEND! Usually, every other week, the tender sub goes down to $5 for a whole. If you want to try a another great chain sub, try Firehouse Subs. Their engineer and hook & ladder is great.
