Cristina Gallardo-Domas, a compatriot of mine, showing us the reason she has been considered one of the top sopranos of the operatic galaxy for a long time, here on earth. Her crescendo in the first act is always incredible, whereby she clearly demonstrates her talent, vocal discipline and a voice that is powerful, yet femenine and delicate, where needed. Her fans, whether Chileans or of many other nationalities, adore her in their loyalty and appreciation of her art. Bravo, Cristina!

Une magnifique version de ma bohème... Christina est fabuleuse et Le très regretté Marcello est parfait dans ce rôle. J'ai vu cette version au moins 10 fois.. quel bonheur!!

I saw Christina Gallardo-Domas many times at the MET and at Covent Garden. I knew little about her when I saw her transcendent Violetta in La Traviata at the MET which she followed up with a broadcast. After that I saw a new production of Butterfly at Covent Garden and Turandot's Liu, Mimi in La Boheme and another new production of Butterfly at the MET. Then she disappeared. Where is she now? I must add that the loss of Marcello Giordani is a heartbreaker. I'd seen him many times and his untimely death was a shame.
