Absolutely fantastic! I built an EV with a manual transmission. At first I could not break my habit of using the clutch like it still had an engine. Eventually, I just kept it in 2nd or 3rd all the time. I never used reverse at all and you shouldn't need to either. You should be able to flip a switch to go backward. I eventually took the flywheel and clutch out completely and cut off the clutch pedal. EV conversion are GREAT!! Nice job!!!

How much does Kit on this Pinz cost? Range? I have 712K and want to do a hybrid electric with a generator in engine bay to top off batteries. Have you done any kits like that? What kind of controllers etc/battery management are on this system. Don’t really see what your using to monitor system.

he says it is connected to the original gearbox, so i'm pretty sure it still is 4x4 capable

It seems they just replaced the gearbox input of the ice engine with an electric motor. As long as it is sealed properly it should even keep most of the depth of water you can drive through. Like you can see in the video he still has to operate the clutch, and gearbox. Only difference is you can't stall it, and you could basically start in any gear as long as the electric motor is strong enough to pull it in that gear from 0 onwards. So all it's capabilities are kept. Maybe not the range, but the Pinzgauer was a thirsty thing by nature. (and will be that in EV as well, due to the portal axles and everything.
