I love that Mike does original music. I think he was the second person I seen playing CBG when I went looking for CBG stuff back in 2015 or 16

Mike is such a talented builder and player. He is also such a nice guy too. Great interview Del.

I wonder how many of us are subscribed to both? Intresting that he winds his own pickups yet his everyday player has a plain Jane piezo in it for a pickup. He probably should add a pickup setup to it with one knob that turned all the way is piezo and turned the other is his wound pickup. Anywhere in between blends the two pickups. ❤

It is so cool to see you guys connected! It's because of you two and Michael Bianconi I am addicted too. Since last Christmas i was building my number 4 and 5 on weekends, today I am going to finish number 6, a little 18 inch scale to put in a backpack. And number 7 is on the way, my first order for a neighbour...And all I wanted to do 18 month ago, was building one!

Two of my favorite CBG guys that I haven’t actually met in person. I own two Snowden CBG’s the first was a piezo only in the 900 range of builds and the second is a wound pickup in like the 2400 build range. Actually the first and last cigar box guitars I have bought. Well until I buy another one from someone anyway. lol Enjoyed the broadcast.

I have a friend who is a potter and we are going to get together and make ceramic slides . I went from a metal /progressive rock player to learning the slide and playing nothing but my own cigar box guitars ,basses ,even lap steels from repurposed materials .I get more of a charge making them and playing them . I don`t sell many ,mostly give to friends . I did sell one yesterday .

10:33 ... same here...I'll let a build sit for a week or more if I'm trying something new worrying if it doesn't work what a waste of time that was! 🤣 "Favorite ... this one's not for sale.." Heh heh, don't we all? I've got at least four! I do have one that is my go to guitar, made early on, a tribute guitar to my favorite West Bank brewery Taybeh Beer... it became my favorite (the plan was to give it to them the next time I was in Israel but I said nope.... so I had to make them another one!) to the point I didn't want to change the strings because I was afraid it would sound different (much like Freddie Mercury never having his extreme overbite corrected for fear it would change his vocals 🤣)... well, after 6 or 7 years I had to change the strings... and I'm getting used to the new one...

Great podcast guys, very entertaining. I have to say, l had a mental block after making and playing three stringers for a long period of time and then trying to play a six string again. It wasn't pretty!
