Oh I see now. After archiving some of your vids. As a first time builder, I was wondering if it was easier to mount it to the inside lid or the bottom of the box. the neck tilt or action height has me a little, worried on how to control it. I suppose, as a first time builder should give room for making errors learned from that.

Love your channel! I wish you would do a full instructional set of videos on making a fretted 5 string banjo - cigar box or cookie tin or wooden bowl with heat shrunk peta 1 plastic for a head or whatever you dream up. So far I haven't found a you tube video with complete OCD instructions for making a "cigar box" banjo. Yeah there's the Uncle Enos banjo and Foxfire #3 on mountain banjos.... But beginners need OCD instructions like you so very humorously provide.

If you don't I'll have to schlep my way through building the Foxfire # 3 mountain banjo neck - get a banjo fretboard from Stew Mac and attach it all to a cigar box with some kind of resonator - but not too loud - I need something quiet for condo practice. Anyhow no one that I can find online walks you through the whole process of making a 5 string long neck cigar box banjo. So there's an opportunity for you to be THE only one doing it!

Cookie tins are just like doing a cigar box, but you have to cut the metal with a Dremel cut off wheel. Banjos would be cool. I've had a couple requests for a banjo, so learning how to put a truss rod in, would be the next step.
